  • Publication number: 20080002189
Abstract: A plurality of pupil relays are configured to optically overlay a generally corresponding plurality of control points, so as to facilitate alignment of a laser beam with respect to a plurality of optical components, such as a system entrance pupil, a deformable mirror, a steering mirror, and a system exit pupil.

  • Publication number: 20070198839
Abstract: Multiple keys are distributed to multiple clients. The keys provide access to media content. A group of clients are identified to receive substituted media content during a predetermined time period. Modified keys are generated that identify the substituted media content and the predetermined time period. The modified keys are distributed to the group of clients. The modified keys cause the group of clients to receive the substituted media content during the predetermined time period.

  • Publication number: 20070103699
Abstract: Systems and techniques for laser metrology. Two or more fanned probe beams are scanned relative to a surface including one or more targets. A position detection module receives return beam information from the fanned probe beams, and determines a position of at least a first target of the one or more targets based on the return beam information.

  • Publication number: 20070103698
Abstract: Systems and techniques for laser metrology. A system may include a laser source and a fanning apparatus configured to generate a fanned laser beam. The fanned laser beam may be scanned across the surface of an object, and may reflect off a plurality of targets positioned on the surface. A position detection module may determine a position of the metrology targets based on the reflected beam.

  • Patent number: 5836228
Abstract: Apparatus for slitting or cutting material comprises a driving roller 10 and a driven roller 12. Each roller 10 or 12 has on its periphery a plurality of ribs at a predetermined pitch and helix angle. The pitch of the ribs 18 on the driving roller 10 is smaller than the pitch of the ribs 30 on the driven roller 12, and the helix angle of the ribs 18 on the driving roller 10 is of opposite direction to, and of smaller magnitude than, the helix angle of the ribs 30 on the driven roller 12. The ribs 18, 30 cooperate to cut with a shearing action a web 16 of sheet material fed into the nip between the rollers 10, 12.

  • Patent number: 5680674
Abstract: A door closer comprises a housing (21) in which a compression spring (23) urges a piston (22) in one direction, an operating spindle (18) in the housing defining an axis (19) about which an arm mechanism (52) connected to the housing is angularly movable to effect movement of the piston in the opposite direction. Connected between said axis (19) and the piston (22) is a linkage mechanism which provides that, in use, maximum torque is exerted on the arm mechanism at the near closed position of the door. The linkage mechanism can have a pivotal connection (27) between links (25, 26) thereof constrained to follow a continuous curve by means of a cam track (30, 31) or an additional link (48).

  • Patent number: 4841757
Abstract: This invention is directed at a bicycle lock which is positioned within the frame, front riser post or seat support post, of the bicycle and secure from external compromise by ordinary handtools. In one embodiment, a key actuated slotted rotary engagement locking disk selectively engages and disengages a slotted locking disk affixed to the axle of the pedal crank. In another embodiment, a key actuated rack and pinion combination cooperates with a slotted disk on the pedal crank axle to lock and unlock the pedal crank. In another embodiment of the invention a supplemental external locking system for locking the bike to a post or the like is provided which is used in conjunction with the internally positioned locking systems.

  • Patent number: 4391226
Abstract: A leash device having a housing through which a leash line passes. The housing contains a cam-type variable compression means for variably compressing the leash line against the inside of the housing. The compression means is in the form of a rotatable cylinder rotated by a thumb-operated lever extending outside the housing. The housing is designed to fit in the palm of the hand and has finger grooves and an extending nipple to prevent rope burn from the leash line.
