  • Patent number: 11428656
Abstract: Methods of producing luminescence by application of a time-varying electrical signal to an electroluminescent device are disclosed whereby the entire system remains at open circuit. At least one article, substance or material, the “object”, is employed to alter the electrical signal to the area of the electroluminescent device to a level sufficient to change light emission. Methods are disclosed to relate the light intensity thus produced to a property of the object thereby allowing a measurement of the property. The method may optionally use one or more additional circuit components.

  • Publication number: 20200095143
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring and altering the conditions of a sewage system comprising a wet well connected to a sewer. The wet well is also configured to provide sewage to a secondary system, where the sewage is fed into an oxygen contact chamber. That chamber is fed oxygen which is dissolved into the sewage such that the sewage in the contact chamber has elevated oxygen content. That oxygenated sewage is then fed into the sewage system in order to raise oxygen levels and control anaerobic activity. Sensors and valves of the system are controlled by a central controller which provides for improved functionality, energy savings, and automated function.

  • Publication number: 20120125044
Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating air to produce a gaseous oxygen product in which the air is separated in an air separation plant to conduct a cryogenic rectification process that utilizes higher and lower pressure compressed air streams. The higher and lower pressure compressed air streams are generated in two multistage compressors linked together so that the lower pressure compressed air stream is produced from intermediate stages and the higher pressure compressed air stream is produced from higher pressure compression stages. During turn-down operational conditions, one of the two multistage compressors can be shut down to decrease the flow of air and therefore, the production of the oxygen product.

  • Patent number: 8062872
Abstract: Embodiments described include methods for maintaining the pH and alkalinity during industrial fermentation processes are described that foster optimal microorganism activities throughout the duration of the fermentation process. Magnesium based buffering agents having sufficient buffering capacity and applied at sufficient concentration levels required to neutralize the acidic content of fermentation fluids during the fermentation process cycle are detailed.
