  • Patent number: 11731898
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a glazing. A low-emissivity protected glass piece has a low-emissivity coating applied to a second face thereof and a protective film covering the low-emissivity coating. The glass piece is placed on a surface of a screen printing table, the protective layer being in contact with said surface. Acid etching is performed with an acid paste which attacks the first face of the low-e protected glass piece to print visual markers thereon using a screen printing canvas on the first face. After waiting, the first face of the low-e protected glass piece is washed to remove the acid paste to obtain a permanent frosted finish pattern forming the bird-friendly visual markers on the first face. The protective film is removed to obtain a low-e marked glass having visual markers on one side and a low-e coating on another side, and then the marked glass is tempered.

  • Publication number: 20110025090
Abstract: A rigidified window system includes a window and at least one supporting brace. The at least one supporting brace is bonded to the surface of the window using an adhesive offering a predetermined elasticity to the bond. Moreover, the quantity, shape, width, length and height and material used to manufacture the at least one supporting brace are selected in order to allow a certain flexibility of said window and the at least one supporting brace. The elasticity of the bond and the flexibility of the window and the at least one supporting brace provide absorption of the forces created by an impact, the absorption being shared between the window, the bond and the at least one supporting brace.

  • Patent number: 7816627
Abstract: An attachment system for attaching an electric cable to a window pane. The system includes a generally elongated plate having a width approximately equal to a thickness of said pane, the plate being provided with a plurality of holes. A socket is fastened to the plate and is shaped and sized to receive a portion of the electric cable within it, the socket being in communication with an opening provided in the plate in order to permit electrical conductors to pass through the plate. The electric cable is fastened to the plate and the plate is fastened to an edge of the pane, in order to resist a 35 lb traction.

  • Patent number: 4333007
Abstract: A system for determining the range to an object utilizing a plurality of radiation responsive detectors arranged in groupings wherein a first grouping of detectors receives radiation from the object in a first pattern and the second grouping of detectors receives radiation from the object in a second pattern. The patterns move with respect to one another as the distance between the object and the system changes. The range is determined from a determination of the relative position of the patterns by computing where the patterns will coincide if the focusing lens of the system is moved. The output is a signal having a characteristic indicative of the desired direction of motion of the lens and a characteristic indicative of the amount of such motion necessary to produce a proper focus condition.
