  • Publication number: 20100296298
Abstract: A rear-beveled mirror has backlighting located near the beveled areas. The beveled areas, having the backlighting, may be located in at least two opposite sides of the mirror. The angle of the bevel may be adjusted so that the backlighting may pass through the bevel and focus on a subject standing at a typical distance away from the mirror. This typical distance may vary with the type of mirror that includes the backlighting. For example, a make-up mirror may focus the light for use from about 1-2 feet away from the mirror; and a bathroom vanity mirror may focus the light for use from about 2-4 feet away from the mirror.

  • Publication number: 20070115273
Abstract: A visual messaging system and device can employ high efficiency LEDs and current driven versus voltage driven circuits to reduce power consumption and enable the device to be powered from IEEE 802.3 af (Power over Ethernet (PoE)) standard based power sources. The device can be powered from a local area network (LAN) connection using PoE, and does not require a separate AC power supply. The present invention also uses a 1× yellow algorithm to create the yellow color with one half the instantaneous current of previous circuits. The device can incorporate multiple message inputs for receiving and displaying messages having different priorities, allowing higher priority messages to override lower priority messages.

  • Patent number: 5596944
Abstract: A boat trailer marking device capable of automatic deployment from and redeployment to a protected and recessed position out of sight and unobstructed which includes an elongated element pivotally attached to a mounting means wherein the elongated element includes an extension arm with visible means on the outer extremity and a weight arm which preferably includes a spring assist adapted to rotate the boat trailer marking device into vertical position for marking and tracking the movement and location of a boat trailer from a towing vehicle and for gauging the depth of the water when the boat trailer is in position on a boat ramp for loading a boat and for locating and targeting the center of the submerged boat trailer while loading the boat.
