  • Patent number: 9491292
Abstract: Methods and systems for the storage and retrieval of originating caller location information in an emergency services system are disclosed. Subscriber information from a telephone service provider is received by a NG-911 service provider, the subscriber information including a subscriber telephone number and an associated subscriber address. The service provider generates geo-spatial coordinates corresponding to said subscriber address and stores the subscriber information and the corresponding geo-spatial data in a geographic information system (GIS) database, indexed at least according to said subscriber telephone number. In response to a query from a PSAP relating to an emergency service call originating from the subscriber telephone number, the NG-911 service provider queries the GIS database for the originating telephone number and returns the geo-spatial coordinates and the associated subscriber address.

  • Patent number: 9350873
Abstract: Computer media and methods for providing emergency services protocols to an emergency service call taker are disclosed herein. A public safety answering point receives an emergency service phone call from a caller. The caller is placed in voice communication with an emergency call handler. The system monitors the voice communication between the caller and the emergency call handler. In response to detecting one or more known keyword in the voice communication, the system provides the emergency call handler with one or more defined protocols for guiding additional communications between the caller and the emergency call handler.

  • Patent number: 5799061
Abstract: A machine executed method provides: (1) rapid, automatic, and virtually silent transfer of an incoming 9-1-1 call for service to the proper service provider or providers; (2) automatic transfer of caller identification and location information from a public safety answering point call-taker station to the appropriate service provider without further call-taker intervention; (3) elimination of the need for a call-taker to manually use detailed local maps such as a "KEY-MAP" to determine the location of a caller; and (4) digital recording of incoming calls. The digital voice and associated information is stored in a database to facilitate the rapid retrieval of the recorded call at a later time.
