  • Publication number: 20110078968
Abstract: A runner for a suspended ceiling grid is roll-formed from a single strip of sheet metal so as to have a generally symmetrical appearance about a vertical center line, with a double vertical web and a double-thickness flange for supporting ceiling tiles. The bottom surface of the flange is continuous across its exposed surface, so that there is no visible juncture of the opposed flanges with the double web when viewed from below, thus providing an aesthetically more-pleasing appearance.

  • Patent number: 7800032
Abstract: Provided is a detachable aerodynamic missile stabilizing system for a missile flying at low flight speeds. The system includes a housing adapted to couple to couple to the missile. Extending outward from the housing is at least one grid fin. Specifically the grid fin extends from the housing such that it is transverse to a longitudinal axis of the housing and the missile. The grid fin provides a plurality of apertures. The apertures are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing and the missile. • Publication number: 20070199781
Abstract: A disc brake has a first caliper with first and second friction members that are moved into engagement with a rotor to effect a brake application. The actuator includes a second caliper retained on a pin and third and fourth friction member aligned with the rotor. First and second linkage members connect the second caliper to the first and second friction members. The second caliper when activated moves the third and fourth friction members into engagement with the rotor to create a tangential force that causes the second caliper to pivot on the pin and provide an input force that moves first and second ramp surfaces on the first and second linkage members to produce an actuation force that moves the first and second friction members into engagement with the rotor to produce a braking force that retards the rotation of the rotor.

  • Publication number: 20070071221
Abstract: At least one device receives a call request from a calling party to a called party. The device routes the call request to an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) core when a first condition is met and bypasses the IMS core when a second condition is met.

  • Publication number: 20070061397
Abstract: A method includes receiving a telephone number mapping query associated with a call. The method may also include generating routing information based on the query and forwarding the routing information to a control device. The routing information may indicate that processing associated with routing the call is to bypass a core portion of an Internet multimedia subsystem (IMS) when a calling party associated with the call does not invoke an IMS service, the called party associated with the call does not invoke an IMS service and the called party is not an IMS subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20070028554
Abstract: A suspended ceiling grid beam is provided that has an increased beam height to provide enhanced resistance to downward deflection. The beam has a cross-section generally in the form of an inverted T, with a central web, a pair of panel support flanges extending from one edge of the web, and a reinforcing bulb extending from the other edge of the web. The reinforcing bulb has a generally planar, fin-like structure extending therefrom opposite to and generally co-planar with the central web.

  • Publication number: 20050241305
Abstract: A control valve of a hydraulic brake booster for use in a brake system. The control valve is characterized by a shuttle member having a stem on a first end and an annular projection on a second end. The stem has an annular surface thereon that is matched with an orifice from an supply chamber such that metered pressurized fluid is uniformly presented to an actuation chamber to effect a brake application while the annular projection is matched with a flange on an actuator piston such that the pressurized fluid present in the actuation chamber is uniformly metered to a reservoir.

  • Patent number: 6542879
Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling trajectory of an object (47) to a first predetermined position. The apparatus has an input layer (22) having nodes (22a-22f) for receiving input data indicative of the first predetermined position. First weighted connections (28) are connected to the nodes of the input layer (22). Each of the first weighted connections (28) have a coefficient for weighting the input data. An output layer (26) having nodes (26a-26e) connected to the first weighted connections (28) determines trajectory data based upon the first weighted input data. The trajectory of the object is controlled based upon the determined trajectory data.

  • Patent number: 5633995
Abstract: A system for extracting a three-dimensional model of an object viewed in a selected scene, includes at least one camera for acquiring scene information, each from a different spatial-temporal aspect of the total scene. A digitizer converts the scene video and directional information to digital data, for at least temporary storage in a mass memory associated with a computer for data processing. An interactive display provides a means by which a human operator can view the stored scene information and select at least one scene object for which the computer will extract a 3D model, for subsequent use by a designated output device.
