  • Publication number: 20240079830
Abstract: A shielded electric plug. The electric plug includes a plug housing and a data line arranged within the plug housing for transmitting data in the Gbit/s range. A plug side of the data line electrically contacts the plug with a complementary mating plug and a connection side of the data line for electrically contacting with a circuit carrier. The data line is enclosed by a metal shielding housing. The plug housing includes a connection element with a press-in pin for mechanically contacting the plug with the circuit carrier using a press-in connection. The connection element includes a spring contact element to resiliently abut the circuit carrier so as to contact same when the electric plug is pressed in. The press-in pin is in the form of a first ground connection, and the spring contact element is designed is in the form of a second ground connection.

  • Patent number: 11820268
Abstract: A lumbar adjuster for use in a vehicle seat and including a wire frame, a lumbar mat, an adjustment mechanism, and an arbor. The wire frame configured to be fixed to a backrest and including a first lateral portion, a second lateral portion and a transverse portion extending therebetween. The lumbar mat configured to face towards a backrest cushion when the lumbar adjuster is assembled to the vehicle seat. The adjustment mechanism connected to and configured to move along the first and second lateral portions and including a lever arm and a gear train operatively connected to and operable to articulate the lever arm to move a portion of the lumbar mat towards and away from the backrest cushion. The arbor connected to the transverse portion of the wire frame and the adjustment mechanism to fix the adjustment mechanism relative to the transverse portion.

  • Patent number: 5043528
Abstract: A spring finger EMI gasket is disclosed in which portions of its finger parts are so formed that they can be completely flattened with negligible permanent set. Thus when used in a seam, they can be flattened to provide broad are a metal-to-metal contact for low electrical impedance across the seam, while at the same time serving as a positive mechanical stop. In its preferred embodiment, when the seam is disassembled, the tips of the finger parts press firmly against one of the surfaces of the seam so as to resist snagging, a frequent cause of damage to spring fingers.

  • Patent number: 4990179
Abstract: The excessive wear and formation of ring-like cavities in carbon crucibles used to contain iron-based compositions that are heated in a plasma furnace to a temperature of from about 2000.degree. C. to aboout 2700.degree. C. are reduced or eliminated by adding carbon particles to the crucible in amounts of at least about 6 weight percent of the melt, and preferably in amounts exceeding the solubility of carbon in the heated melt.

  • Patent number: 4806325
Abstract: Ferrophos is treated in a plasma furnace by maintaining an electric arc between a cathode and at least one point on the surface of the ferrophos which serves as the anode in the presence of an inert plasma gas, maintaining the average temperature of the ferrophos at about 2,000.degree. C. to about 2,700.degree. C., evolving gaseous phosphorus from the ferrophos until it contains less than about 7% by weight phosphorus, removing a purified phosphorus gas as one product and a metal concentrate having a reduced phosphorus content as a coproduct.

  • Patent number: 4370251
Abstract: Peroxycarboxylic acid compositions containing stabilizing ingredients are produced by the hydrogen peroxide peroxidation of corresponding carboxylic acids which are not substantially soluble in water by a continuous process in which the peroxidation reaction takes place in solution in concentrated sulfuric acid, or other strong acid, while that solution is intimately interdispersed, by means of agitation, with methylene chloride, or other organic solvent, in which the resulting peroxycarboxylic acid is soluble, but the carboxylic acid is not, and the sulfuric acid, or other acid, is recovered from the effluent of the process by reacting it with borax and caustic soda or soda ash to form crystals of boric acid and sodium salt of the strong acid which, in admixture with peroxycarboxylic acid recovered from the effluent, form the peroxycarboxylic acid composition product. The methylene chloride is also recovered from the effluent and recycled to the process.

  • Patent number: 4020148
Abstract: Manufacturing dry, free-flowing crystalline sodium carbonate peroxide by passing a gas stream at a temperature between 70.degree. and 150.degree. C into a drying zone containing moist sodium carbonate peroxide while maintaining the exit gas stream temperature between 50.degree. and 130.degree. C until the sodium carbonate contains between 0.05% and 0.5% by weight moisture, immediately passing the dried material into a cooling zone where the sodium carbonate peroxide temperature is lowered to between 0.degree. and 40.degree. C, and removing a dry, free-flowing, crystalline sodium carbonate peroxide product containing between 0.001% and 0.20% by weight moisture.
