  • Patent number: 9889812
Abstract: A side-curtain airbag assembly includes a body structure including a roof rail and a pillar extending downwardly from the roof rail. The roof rail has an upwardly extending side portion and a first ramped surface extending inwardly from the side portion at a downward angle. An airbag is mounted to the side portion above the first ramped surface. A trim component is mounted to the pillar below the first ramped surface and has a face, a top, and a second ramped surface extending outwardly from the top at an upward angle towards the side portion. The first and second ramped surfaces are arranged to form a ramp that guides the airbag during deployment of the airbag. The first ramped surface has a higher yield strength than the second ramped surface.

  • Patent number: 8876183
Abstract: A trim panel having at least one bracket portion which is releasably coupled to a bracket member having a clip receiving assembly. A clip is received in the clip receiving assembly and adapted to couple to a car body. The clip is a high retention clip adapted to retain the trim panel on the car body during an air curtain deployment event. The trim panel is further adapted to be removeable from the bracket member to allow access to an underlying air curtain deployment mechanism. The trim panel is adapted to be removed from the bracket member while the bracket member and clip assembly remain coupled to a car body in a vehicle interior.

  • Patent number: 8678388
Abstract: The invention relates to a game accessory, especially dice, comprising a polygonal body (1) delimited by side surfaces (2) and markings (5) carrying different meanings arranged on the body (1) according to a predetermined rule or in a definite manner, wherein the markings (5) are created as spatial—3D—local mechanical shape alterations along the joining edges (3) of the side surfaces (2) delimiting said body (1).

  • Publication number: 20130285780
Abstract: A magnetic drive including a first magnet and a second magnet, wherein the first magnet is positioned in a way that it is constantly within the sphere of influence of the second magnet, wherein the second magnet includes several second individual magnets, which are all spaced apart by gaps, wherein local field strength peaks controllable with regard to the position of the first magnet relative to the second magnet can be generated in the second magnet by means of a magnetization means so that the first magnet is movable relative to the second magnet by means of the attractive force between different poles of the first magnet and of the second magnet controlled by the controllable local field strength peaks, or by means of the repulsive force of equal poles of the first magnet and the second magnet controlled by the controllable local field strength peaks.

  • Publication number: 20100224165
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a variable-volume rotary device with a housing (1) comprising an inner spherical cavity, inlet and exhaust ports and a bypass flow path. Within the housing (1) a rotary displacement member with spherical outer configurations capable of revolving around the center point of the spherical inner surface of the housing is mounted. Said rotary displacement member is equipped with a centrally disposed, disc-shaped partition (6) that forms a mutually isolated division in the spherical inner cavity of the housing (1) and has two pivot vanes (7, 8), splitting the housing cavity further into four isolated quadrants, the volume of which vary during gyration. Vanes (7, 8) are similar in shape to orange segments. Vanes (7, 8) are connected to opposing sides of and along the diameters of the central disc (6), and extend in mutually perpendicular planes, allowing for rotary movement.

  • Patent number: 4680075
Abstract: An integrated circuit package is fabricated by assembling a stack which is comprised of a plurality of thin flat epoxy-glass layers, adhesive layers between the epoxy-glass layers, and a staircase-shaped cavity. This cavity extends from an outer epoxy-glass layer to an internal epoxy-glass layer and goes parallel along a portion of the flat surface of the internal epoxy-glass layer and then penetrates through it. Conductors lie on the internal epoxy-glass layer, including bonding pads on the flat surface portions. After the stack is assembled, a plug is inserted into its cavity. This plug is thermoplastic; and it fits snugly into the cavity and extends over a larger area outside the cavity. While the plug is in the cavity, the stack is laminated at a temperature and pressure which causes the plug to soften and conform to the exact shape of the cavity. This dams the adhesive from flowing onto the bonding pads.

  • Patent number: 4643935
Abstract: An integrated circuit package comprises a plurality of thin flat epoxy-glass layers which are arranged in a stack and are laminated together by prepreg layers that lie between the epoxy-glass layers. This stack has a cavity which is staircase-shaped and extends from an outer epoxy-glass layer to an internal epoxy-glass layer, goes parallel along the internal epoxy-glass layer and then penetrates through it. Patterned electrical conductors lie on the flat surface of the internal epoxy-glass layer, including wire bonding pads on its exposed flat surface portion.
