Abstract: System and methods are disclosed that provide users of mobile digital devices the opportunity to obtain a permanent record of the service rendered at the mobile device for all modes of web based services, location based services, services originating at the mobile device and not related to the location of the device, services originating via a voice portal, web based services originating via voice communication. Services include location independent services, such as tickets and coupons, and location based services, such as obtaining directions/or and maps to the nearest store or hotel or to a given location, obtaining traffic information, and receiving location-based coupons at the mobile device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide users of mobile handheld digital devices the opportunity to share large data objects, such as images or digital audio files, with multiple users and the opportunity to upload a data object from a data object source and transmit the uploaded data object to a remote server in order to make the uploaded data object available for sharing with multiple users. The shared data objects can be accessible via a link to the object or by means of reduced size versions of the shared data objects.

Upon receiving the content, the content server may add the content to a queue, referred to as a content outbox, associated with the user. The content server may automatically forward the content in the user's content outbox to one or more remote destinations specified by preferences associated with the user's content outbox.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for enabling the remote printing or storing or sharing, at a node in a data communications network, of digital images from an image data source provided by a customer and of identifying information, the identifying information stored in a storage component in the apparatus. The apparatus comprises means for accessing one image or a plurality of images from the image data source, means for automatically determining a closest entry point into the data communications network, and means for transmitting the image or plurality of images and the customer identifying information, through the entry point, to a remote node of the network. Methods to ensure the efficient and reliable transmission are disclosed. Databases for maintaining, at a remote location, image data provided by a customer and other data relating to the customer and for enabling the sharing of image products are also disclosed.

Abstract: Imaging system whereby color image data intended for reproduction on an image reproduction means may be provided to a functional engine for modification according to one or more functional transforms. Color management may be applied to the data before output to the selected image reproduction device, so as to achieve WYSIWYG color matching of the image data with respect to the color fidelity limitations or other characteristics of the intended image reproduction device.
