    Abstract: Techniques for replicating changes to access control lists on investigative analysis data are disclosed. After a change is made in a database to an access control list (ACL) governing access to a secured component of a data object, an exporting nexus sends an ACL change network message to an importing nexus. The ACL change message includes information that importing nexus can use to apply the ACL change to the importing database. Applying the ACL change message includes using the information in the ACL change message to determine which change records for which secured components of the data object in the importing database the ACL change should be applied to. By doing so, user access to all change records in the importing database to which the ACL change is applied is governed by the new ACL, thereby preventing unauthorized access to the change records, including historical change records.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a novel gas impingement and recoil mitigation system for firearms that includes separate systems that reduce recoil, muzzle rise, and user fatigue and includes a system that is of variable size to match the size and caliber of firearm to which the system will attach. The system can attach to a variety of firearms through an appropriately sized standard barrel connector. As propellant gas is redirected through a ported barrel, the force of the over-pressure wave caused by the propellant blast impinges on a piston-like weight-and-spring mechanism, which thrusts forward with a force that is opposite in direction from the typical backward force that causes muzzle rise and recoil. The event gallery module also performs a second authorization operation that includes using the identification data to verify an attribute of the user. Finally, based on the first and second authorization operations, the event gallery module may selectively authorize the device to post the content to the event gallery.

    Abstract: An apparatus comprises a layer of channel material, source and drain electrodes configured to enable a flow of electrical current through the channel material, and a layer of quantum dot material configured to generate electron-hole pairs on exposure to electromagnetic radiation to produce a detectable change in the electrical current indicative of one or more of the presence and magnitude of the electromagnetic radiation. The layer of quantum dot material is positioned between the channel material and a layer of conductive material. The layers of channel and conductive material have work functions such that respective built-in electric fields are created at the interfaces between the layer of quantum dot material and the channel and conductive material. The electric field at each interface acts in the same direction to promote separation of the electrons and holes of the electron-hole pairs to facilitate production of the detectable change in electrical current.

Traits such as color and texture of a beauty product can be displayed on the sample portion, and the frame portion can interface with product shelving to align samples with relevant products in the display. The sample portion can be releasably attached to the frame to be removed by a user and be placed above a body part of the user to which a beauty product may be applied, or a body part can be placed in proximity to the sample portion even while it is attached to the frame. The user can advantageously view the beauty product as applied to the body part without applying the beauty product. The system is useful for fingernail polish display, for example.

The reduction gear train also includes a geared rotary actuator including a primary planetary gear system, where the geared rotary actuator is operably connected to the core-turning clutch. The reduction gear train further includes a secondary planetary gear system operably connected to the primary planetary gear system and a core-turning input. The system also includes a mounting pad with an interface to couple a core-turning motor to the core-turning input of the reduction gear train.

    Abstract: An apparatus to distribute pressurized fluid from one or more sources to multiple wellbores. The apparatus includes a manifold having at least two inlets and at least two outlets. Pressurized fluid is brought into the manifold from opposing directions so that the fluid from one inlet will impinge upon the fluid from the other inlet thereby deenergizing the fluid. Additionally, the manifold is configured such that the cross-sectional area of the inlets is less than the cross-sectional area of the manifold thereby decreasing velocity minimizing the kinetic energy available to erode or otherwise damage equipment, while providing a pressure decrease as the fluid enters the manifold. The outlets are configured such that the cross-sectional area of the outlets providing fluid to a single wellbore is greater than or equal to the cross-sectional area of the inlets such that no pressure increase occurs within the manifold or the outlets as the fluid exits the manifold.
