Abstract: An example system for estimating a hydration level of an individual can include: a mechanism configured to apply mechanical pressure to a digit of the individual; an light detector configured to sense the light from the digit; and a controller programmed to perform functions including: send a first signal to the mechanism to apply the mechanical pressure to the digit; send a second signal to the mechanism to release the mechanical pressure on the digit; determine a capillary refill time based upon a third signal from the light detector indicating an amount of time for capillaries of the individual to refill with blood; and estimate the hydration level of the individual based upon the capillary refill time and one or more additional parameters.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for fabricating composite parts. The method includes subdividing a laminate into zones, laying up tows of fiber reinforced material for the laminate over a layup mandrel via multiple laminations such that each lamination head applies tows in a different zone, and splicing the zones together to form the laminate during the laying up of the tows while moving the layup mandrel in a process direction during fabrication of the composite parts.

Abstract: A backlight unit is provided for a liquid crystal display (LCD) unit in a display device. The backlight unit includes a light guide plate (LGP) and a first light source. The light guide plate has two major surfaces and a first side wall surface between the two major surfaces. The first light source is contact with or in proximity to the first wall surface of the light guide plate and optically coupled with the light guide plate. The light guide plate has a dimension such as length greater than a dimension such as length for the LCD unit. The first light source has a dimension such as length equal to or greater than the dimension such as length for the LCD unit.

Abstract: Systems and methods for preventing fuel leakage in a gas turbine engine are provided. A fuel accumulation system includes a control valve section fluidly coupled to a fuel manifold passage and an accumulator valve section fluidly coupled at a first side to the control valve section. The control valve section is configured to control expansion of a fluid flowing in the fuel manifold passage. The accumulator valve section is configured to receive fluid expanded in the fuel manifold passage via the control valve section.

The messaging server system determines, based on location data received from the first client device, that the first client device was located within a geo-fence surrounding a geographic location of the specified event during a predetermined event window, the geo-fence and event window having been designated by the second user, and causes the first client device to present a user interface element, that enables the first user to submit content to the group story.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining that geolocation data from a computing device corresponds to a geo-fence associated with a plurality of galleries and providing user-selectable gallery information comprising indicia for each of the plurality of galleries corresponding to the geo-fence to the computing device. The systems and methods further provide for receiving a first message comprising a photograph as the background for the message in response to a second message in a first gallery of the plurality of galleries, and adding the first message to the first gallery associated with a selection of the indicia for the first gallery in the plurality of galleries of the of user-selectable gallery information. The first message is accessible by other computing devices accessing the gallery information to view the first message comprising the photograph as the background of the first message.

Systems and methods for sharing billing information across at least two organizations in an integrated manner are also described. A physical node may receive a request for authorization for a user in an organization to access an individual's information in another organization. The request may be logged. The physical node may determine whether the user is authorized to access the individual's information and, if it is, provide appropriate access.

The processor receives the device identification signal and said data, and retrieves the rules from the memory. Based on the rules, the processor determines, whether the data is to be stored in the database; or stored in the buffer. Based on the content of the data, the processor determines the location of the device, the time that the data was recorded, whether the individual recorded is identified as the individual under care, and the activity performed by the individual.

Abstract: Systems and methods for sharing billing information across at least two organizations in an integrated manner are described. A physical node may receive a request for authorization for a user in an organization to access an individual's information in another organization. The request may be logged. The physical node may determine whether the user is authorized to access the individual's information and, if it is, provide appropriate access. Also disclosed is an integrated web application and system which includes the core plan, budget, service authorizations, service documentation, claims, and communications of an individual under care and allows for calculated access and communication with external authorization and payment systems.

In various embodiments, a sort employee scans an asset indicia using a user device, which stores asset data corresponding to the stored asset. As the sort employee nears a sort location (e.g., a delivery vehicle) with the asset and the user device, the user device automatically communicates wirelessly with a sort location receiver to associate the asset data with data indicative of the sort location where the user deposits the asset. In various embodiments, a device may determine whether the user device is proximate the appropriate sort location for the item, and may generate an alert upon a determination that the user device is proximate an incorrect sort location.
