    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a packing nut lock for a fluid end assembly of a reciprocating pump. The fluid end assembly includes a fluid end block component, a set screw which may have a pointed end, and a packing nut. The set screw engages or interlocks between the a first and second thread of a threaded bore to prevent displacement of the packing nut from the threaded bore.
