  • Publication number: 20120201400
Abstract: An audio mixing console comprises a first amplifier, an analogue to digital converter, a second amplifier and a gain range control unit. The first amplifier may receive an analogue audio input signal and amplify the received audio input signal with a first adjustable gain. The analogue to digital converter may receive the amplified analogue audio input signal and generate a digital audio signal by an analogue to digital conversion of the analogue audio signal. The second amplifier may receive the digital audio signal and amplify the received digital audio signal with a second adjustable gain. The gain range control unit may identify a signal level overload at the analogue to digital converter and control the gain of the first and second amplifiers, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20120133594
Abstract: A sensing method for a touch sensing device is provided. In one embodiment, for one set of interlaced receiving electrode and transmitting electrodes of the touch sensing device, an integrator coupled to the receiving electrode is reset only one time. In another embodiment, for each group of sensing electrodes, an integrator coupled to the sensing electrodes is reset only one time. Accordingly, the rate at which the touch sensing array is sensed may be increased. Noise reduced by the process of resetting the integrator due to charge injection effects may be decreased.

  • Publication number: 20120081298
Abstract: A touch sensing panel includes a substrate and a plurality of first sub-electrodes. The first sub-electrodes are formed on the substrate and disposed in parallel. The first sub-electrodes extend in a first direction. Each set of the successive first sub-electrodes is grouped as a group into a predetermined number to form one sensing electrode. A distance between two successive sensing electrodes is less than the predetermined number multiplied by a distance between two successive first sub-electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20110188260
Abstract: A control module having a plurality of control elements configured to control a first function of the control module in a first operating mode and another function of the control module in another operating mode of the control module. The control elements are grouped into different groups of control elements. Each group of control elements corresponds to a predetermined group of functions of the control module. The grouping is dependant on the operating mode of the control module. An illumination system provides illuminated control-dividing surfaces that visually separate one group of control elements from another group of control elements. The illumination system illuminates the control-dividing surfaces according to the grouping of the control elements and according to the operating mode.

  • Publication number: 20110096943
Abstract: An audio console system includes an input for receiving an audio signal. The system may also include a user adjustable input amplifier which may amplify audio signals received from the input with a predefined gain. The system may additionally include a direct out output amplifier provided after the adjustable input amplifier. The direct out output amplifier may output a direct out output signal. The direct out output amplifier may adjust a gain of a signal transmitted from the adjustable input amplifier. The direct output amplifier may be configured in such a way, that, upon a user adjustment of the adjustable input amplifier, the direct out output amplifier may adjust the gain of the direct out output signal inversely to the adjustment of the input amplifier resulting in a predefined gain of the audio signal from the at least one input to the direct out output being maintained.

  • Patent number: 7835195
Abstract: The memory comprises at least two data storage units using hot carrier stressing damage to store data. Each data storage unit comprises the first terminal, the second terminal and a third terminal. When the first cross voltage between the second and third terminals is higher than the first threshold voltage and the second cross voltage between the first and third terminals is higher than the second threshold voltage, the data storage unit is in the first writing operation.

  • Patent number: 7791380
Abstract: A current sampling circuit including a current sampling transistor, a capacitor arrangement between the gate and source of the current sampling transistor and an amplifier provided in a feedback loop between the gate and source of the current sampling transistor. A switch controls the circuit to sample a gate-source voltage corresponding to a current being sampled onto the capacitor arrangement. The capacitor arrangement comprises a first capacitor circuit for sampling a gate source voltage in a first sampling phase and a second capacitor circuit, with the first and second capacitor circuits arranged for together sampling the gate source voltage in a second sampling phase. The operating point of the amplifier is shifted between the first and second phases based on the gate source voltage sampled in the first sampling phase.

  • Publication number: 20090273572
Abstract: A touch sensor input device includes a first and second array of electrodes, the electrodes in the first array being orthogonal to the electrodes in the second array. A capacitor sensing arrangement senses an electrode capacitance signal which varies in the presence of a touch input. The capacitance signals for groups of electrodes in each array are combined in order to derive respective individual sense signals. This arrangement has electrodes with a finer resolution than the sensing resolution, and this gives improved ability to sense accurately the position of the touch input.

  • Publication number: 20090179868
Abstract: A position sensing display integrates a touch sensor with an active matrix LCD panel. X sense electrodes and y sense electrodes in respective layers on a front panel are coupled capacitatively to respective sense circuits on active rear panel. A common electrode is driven, and the resulting signal on the x-sense electrodes and y sense electrodes is measured by the respective sense circuits. Changes in the resulting signal when sensed object approaches are measured to locate the sensed object.

  • Publication number: 20090167676
Abstract: A method is provided of controlling an illumination source for a display device which comprises a display modulator for modulating the light provided by the illumination source. The method comprises using a light sensor arrangement to generate a first signal based on an ambient light level with first illumination source drive condition, and using the light sensor arrangement to generate a second signal based on the same ambient light level but with second illumination source drive condition different to the first drive condition. The first and second signals are processed to compensate for differences in the light sensor arrangement response characteristics when operating with the first and second illumination source drive conditions thereby to derive a compensated light sensor arrangement characteristic covering both the first and second illumination source drive conditions. Ambient light levels detected using this model of the characteristic are used to control the display device.

  • Patent number: 4479680
Abstract: Electrohydraulic fracturing of rock and other dense materials is accomplished by coupling a hydraulic medium to the material to be fractured and inducing an explosive electrical discharge in the coupling medium in close proximity to the dense material thus developing an electrohydraulic shock wave in the coupling medium. This shock wave is transmitted into the rock or other dense material as an advancing compressive strain pulse which radiates from the explosive electrical discharge through the dense material until it is reflected by a free surface as a tensile strain pulse. The tensile strain pulse is impedance matched with the dense material to be fractured such that the tensile strain pulse induces in situ fracturing of the dense material. A motor driven generator system which provides alternating current to a control unit which incorporates a transformer and diode controlled bridge rectifier system providing stepped up DC voltage.
