    Abstract: The present invention relates to a packaging of containers comprising a plurality of containers and packaging material, wherein the packaging material is free of plastic and wherein the packaging material comprises a bottom piece made of cardboard or paperboard, wherein the bottom piece is a bottom sheet or a bottom tray, and at least one first paper tape comprising an adhesive. In one embodiment, the packaging of containers further comprises a top cover made of cardboard or paperboard, wherein the top cover is a top tray or a top lid, and wherein the at least one first paper tape connects the bottom piece with the top cover. In another embodiment, the first paper tape extends vertically around the packaging of containers from one side edge of the bottom piece to an opposing side edge of the bottom piece and is formed into a handle on top of the packaging of containers.
