    Abstract: A method for providing a conductive connection point of a lightning protection system of a wind turbine blade to an expanded foil or mesh that may be configured as a down conductor extending from a tip connection block towards a root connection block, with a plurality of conductive connection points electrically connected therewith. One method embodiment includes melting a conductive material, applying the melted conductive material in a liquid state for surrounding the expanded foil or mesh, and allowing the melted conductive material to harden for providing a mechanical and electric conductive connection between the conductive connection point and the expanded foil or mesh. Another method embodiment includes providing at least two discs made of conductive material, arranging the discs on opposite sides of the expanded foil or mesh, and fastening the discs to each other with the expanded foil or mesh therebetween for providing an electric conductive connection.
