  • Publication number: 20240066777
Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to ultra high molecular weight poly(ethylene) (“UHMWPE”) tubes with an average wall thickness of 0.2 mm or less; a tensile stress at break greater than 40 MPa; and a storage modulus of greater than 500 MPa at 23° C. The disclosure further relates to preparing and using such tubes and to constructions (e.g., catheter constructions) and components thereof including such tubes.

  • Patent number: 11912854
Abstract: The present disclosure provides extruded PTFE composite tubes with a reduced coefficient of friction (COF). In some embodiments, such extruded PTFE composite tubes may exhibit a reduced change in coefficient of friction between about 20° C. and about 40° C. with the inclusion of secondary polymeric particles with small particle sizes (<100 ?m) at loading percentages of less than about 50 weight %.

  • Publication number: 20200319867
Abstract: A method and apparatus of a device that builds a target using a plurality of processing units is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the device receives a build file for the target, where the build file identifies a plurality of dependencies and the first target is depended on a second target. In addition, the device generates a directed acyclic graph for the first target from the plurality of dependencies. Furthermore, the device transforms the directed acyclic graph by transforming the first set of dependencies to a second set of dependencies and the second set of dependency includes the first dependency that is from a first node in the first target to a second node of a second target.

  • Patent number: 10247342
Abstract: A connector body for use in a connector assembly for making fluid connections includes a hollow connector body, the hollow connector body comprising a resilient deformable seal having a central aperture and a lip surrounding the central aperture; a locking mechanism integrally formed with the hollow connector body, the locking mechanism comprising at least one lug including a slot, and at least one ramp; a hollow connector first body end and a second body end; and an anti-actuation assembly engagement portion comprising at least one recess and/or at least one protrusion; and a removable anti-actuation assembly comprising at least one peel strip, and at least one recess and/or at least one protrusion, the at least one recess and/or at least one protrusion being engaged with the anti-actuation assembly engagement portion of the hollow connector body. Connector assemblies and processes for making fluid connections using the assemblies are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20160361625
Abstract: A game board and seating system is used for playing chess and providing comfortable seating for users. The system includes a board frame, a first seat assembly, a second seat assembly, and an inclined game board. The board frame supports the inclined game board, the first seat assembly, and the second seat assembly. The inclined game board is used to play chess and attaches onto the board frame. The first seat assembly and a second seat assembly are used to comfortably seat users while playing. The first seat assembly and the second seat assembly are both mounted to board frame. The system also includes a plurality of game pieces and at least two piece-adjusting arms. Similar to a traditional chessboard, the game pieces are used to play chess. The at least two piece-adjusting arms are used to move hard to reach game pieces on the inclined game board.

  • Publication number: 20060048828
Abstract: Provided is a reversing valve for reversing flow in a refrigeration system. The reversing valve includes a valve body having first, second, third, and fourth ports disposed into the valve body. A valve member inside the valve body can be selectively moved between a first position intersecting the second and third ports and a second position intersecting the second and fourth ports. The valve member defines a channel that directs flow between the selected pairs of ports. The channel is generally shaped as a curve that bends the flow between the selected ports. To reduce the pressure drop across the reversing valve, a flow splitter is included that divides the channel into multiple sub-channels. Dividing the channel into multiple sub-channels increases the curve ratio of the channel, which reduces the generation of turbulent secondary flows in the channel. The flow splitter also provides additional structural support to the valve member.
