  • Publication number: 20120164189
Abstract: This invention provides a method for inducing immune tolerance toward an antigen comprising the antigen in lipidic particles or lipidic compositions. The lipidic particles are made up of phosphatidylserine and phosphatidylcholine, or phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine. The lipidic compositions comprise the antigen and O-phospho-L-serine. Administration of these composition results in inducing immune tolerance to the antigen.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 7, 2010
    Publication date: June 28, 2012
Inventors: Sathy V. Balu-Iyer, Puneet Rajeev Gaitonde, Richard Bankert
  • Publication number: 20070071804
Abstract: This invention provides methods and compositions for localized delivery of IL-12 to a desired site. The composition comprises liposomes carrying IL-12. The liposomes comprise phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl glycerol and cholesterol. The size and composition of the liposomes is such that there is minimal leakage into the systemic circulation. These compositions can be used for delivery of IL-12 to selected sites such as tumors.

  • Publication number: 20070059318
Abstract: The present invention provides compositions and method for increasing the immunogenicity of antigens such as tumor antigens. The compositions comprise liposomes such that they are suitable for targeting denderitic cells. The compositions preferably comprise at least 50% liposomes which are less than 120 nm. The liposomes comprise a cationic lipid and phosphatidyl choline. The antigen is intercalated within or in the bilayer or covalently linked to the liposomal molecules.
