  • Patent number: 9194111
Abstract: A sink or similar fluid retaining vessel drain system employs a unique linkage assembly to control the opening and closing of a ball type valve mechanism. The system is to be utilized in a small section of pipe as a tailpiece add-on which is connected to the bottom of any standard basket drain, configured to replace the existing straight section of tailpiece pipe below the drain. The system can also be utilized as an originally installed assembly connected directly beneath the drain.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6840975
Abstract: The grease filter is made with components that are secured together about the periphery of the filter by a seam with smooth surfaces. In one embodiment, the filter is constructed of three components, namely, a pair of plates and a rectagular or square frame. The peripheral edges of the plates and frame are interfolded on each other to form a rolled seam. The resulting structure is rigid and does not twist.

  • Publication number: 20040181870
Abstract: A drawn blank of metal is provided to define the floor of a subsequently formed commercial sink. A flat strip of metal is folded and welded at the abutting ends to form a peripheral frame which can then be seated on the blank and welded thereto. The peripheral frame may be of any suitable height so as to permit the blank to be used to make sinks of different heights.

  • Patent number: 5682644
Abstract: The self-closing hinge assembly has a pair of cam members which are biased against each other by a pair of coil springs. The outer coil spring serves to bias the cam members together under a first restoring force and is effective during an initial opening of a door, for example to a 90.degree. position. The second inner spring becomes compressed only after the outer coil spring has been compressed. Compression of the second coil spring occurs as a door is opened beyond the 90.degree. position. The door may be held in one of two dwell positions corresponding to the cam surfaces on the movable cam member.
