Abstract: A method for reducing the reception of undesirable email is disclosed. The method includes initiating a first process for receiving email from a first server and receiving an email from the first server. The method further includes identifying the email as an undesirable email and determining an Internet Protocol (IP) address for the first server. The method further includes lowering a priority of the first process when the first process receives email from the first server identified by the IP address.

Abstract: A computing device for securely executing authorized code includes a protected memory for storing authorized code, which contains an original digital signature, and a processor in signal communication with the protected memory for preparing to execute code from the protected memory by verifying that a digital signature contained in the code is original in accordance with a public key, and if the original digital signature is verified, then branching to a copy of the authorized code in the protected memory to begin execution.

Abstract: A system and method implementing advanced cryptographic techniques to protect both the confidentiality and integrity of data sent to and received from a storage system or storage utility. Particularly, the system and method provides for the privacy and integrity of stored data. The integrity protection scheme employed defends against modification of data as well as “replay” and “relocation” of data since cryptographic integrity values are not only a function of the plaintext data and a cryptographic key, but also a function of the “address” of the disk block and a “whitening” value that defends against “replay attacks”. The integrity scheme protects the integrity of an entire virtual disk while allowing incremental, random access updates to the blocks on the virtual disk.

Abstract: Apparatus and techniques for providing a user interface for a computing device such as a pervasive computing device. The computing device projects a user input display from a projector onto a surface. A user output display is projected from the projector of the computing device onto a surface. The user input display and the user output display may be projected from the same projector. The user input display and user output display may be projected on different surfaces. A single projected image may be split and directed with a mirror system.
