Abstract: A fire place enhancer is provided for combusting fuel and for placement into a fireplace within a wall of a room, wherein the fireplace has a chimney. The fire place enhancer includes: a main air shield having a main exhaust port, a main access port an air ingestion port and an air supply port; an inner surface disposed with the main air shield so as to provide a combustion area for combusting the fuel, the inner surface having a rear surface and two side surfaces; and a heat manifold disposed above the combustion area, the heat manifold having a first end and a second end, the heat manifold being operable to pass gasses from the combustion area to the chimney.

Abstract: A heating device includes: a primary burn chamber; a secondary burn chamber; a solid fuel support structure separating the primary burn chamber and the secondary burn chamber, the fuel support structure being operable to support a solid fuel for burning in the primary burn chamber, to pass air from the secondary burn chamber to the primary burn chamber and to pass gas and particulates from the primary burn chamber to the secondary burn chamber; an exhaust port operable to exhaust air; a cooling chamber disposed between the secondary burn chamber and the exhaust port, the cooling chamber being operable to extract heat from gases from the secondary burn chamber; a first port operable to supply external air to the primary burn chamber; a second port operable to supply external air to the secondary burn chamber; and a gas flow controller.

Abstract: A device for attracting animals by simulating food on the ground or water is disclosed. The device comprises at least one simulated corn kernel that is arranged to look like a pile of corn kernels and an attachment means fixed on at least one end of said simulated corn kernel. A pile of simulated corn kernels linked together by an attachment means to form a continuous strand of any desired length. The attachment means are selected from a group consisting of hooks and eyes, loops, push and pull type links or any other means of suitable connection. In one embodiment, a hole of said simulated corn kernel is adapted to receive the attachment means thereby forming a continuous row of simulated corn kernels of any desired length. In another embodiment, a string connects the simulated corn kernel to form a strand of simulated corn kernels.

Abstract: There is disclosed a sound-absorbing syntactic foam comprising expanded polystyrene microspheres, dispersed randomly in a polyurethane matrix.

Abstract: An acoustic foam composition comprising (a) about 1 equivalent of a polybutadiene based polyol (b) about 2.5 to 7.5 equivalents of a diisocyante (c) or low molecular weight diol which gives a balanced stoichiometry and (d) about 1.5 to 6% by weight based on the total weight of the composition of hollow polymeric microspheres. The composition may be prepared by a one-step system or a prepolymer system. The foam compositions of the present invention has excellent acoustic properties.
