  • Publication number: 20130233130
Abstract: There is provided a method for extracting aluminum ions from argillite. The process comprises leaching the argillite with an acid such as HCl so as to obtain a composition comprising the aluminum ions and iron ions; at least partially removing the iron ions from the composition by substantially selectively precipitating the iron ions by adding a base and at least partially removing the precipitated iron ions so as to obtain an Al-rich composition; and optionally purifying the Al-rich composition by adding a base for substantially selectively precipitating the aluminum ions, by means of a hollow fiber membrane, or by a liquid-liquid extraction.

  • Patent number: 7047057
Abstract: The TPSF-based imaging technique uses multiple wavelengths to image an object simultaneously. Acquisition time of an image can be shortened without sacrificing the effective amount or quality of raw imaging data acquired. A plurality of distinguishable wavelengths may be used simultaneously at different injection-detection positions to acquire simultaneously a plurality of TPSF-based imaging data points for the different injection-detection positions. The multiple wavelengths may provide complementary information about the object being imaged.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 22, 2002
Date of Patent: May 16, 2006

  • Publication number: 20050187478
Abstract: In a method of multi-wavelength imaging internal structures of a highly turbid medium, the internal structures are imaged at each one of a set of at least two predetermined wavelengths, to generate a corresponding set of respective images. The set of images are then merged to generate a corresponding fused image.
