  • Patent number: 11617825
Abstract: A delivery device for delivering medicament, such as insulin, to a patient includes a housing and a base enclosing an inner cavity. Enclosed within the housing is a reservoir for containing a medicament, a delivery mechanism for delivering the medicament to the patient, and a pump in fluid communication with the reservoir and delivery mechanism. The base has an integrally formed fluid channel in fluid communication with the reservoir and the delivery mechanism and a filter media containing an adsorbent positioned in the fluid channel to contact the medicament and remove at least a portion of a stabilizing compound from the medicament carried through the fluid channel.

  • Publication number: 20220323738
Abstract: A strain relief adapter (100) for a medicament delivery device (200) includes a flexible body (101) having a first end (102) configured to connect to one of a fluid connector and a pump connector, a second end (104) configured to connect to tubing, a hollow fluid path (108, 110, 112, 114) therethrough fluidly connecting the first and second ends, and a plurality of external strain relief ridges (106) disposed between the first and second ends.

  • Patent number: 7695448
Abstract: An intravenous flow control system provides closed loop control to maintain a desired flow rate. The actual flow rate is determined by two techniques, a geometrically based technique that uses geometric parameters of the IV system, and a thermally based technique that uses the power input to an IV fluid warmer and the temperature of the IV fluid entering and exiting the warmer.

  • Patent number: 7377148
Abstract: An air or gas bubble detection system detects the presence of liquid in intravenous (IV) tubing. By detecting the presence of liquid rather than gas, false alarms due to micro bubbles or small air gaps between the sensor and the tubing are avoided.

  • Patent number: 5344392
Abstract: An apparatus for proportioning solutions from at least first and second constituent solutions connected to separate inlet ports of the apparatus first detects which constituent solution is being supplied to which port and then properly proportions the finished solution from the constituent solutions irrespective of which constituent solution is connected to which inlet port.

  • Patent number: 5275724
Abstract: An apparatus and a system are provided for delivering a peritoneal dialysis solution to a patient. A connector containing a first set of conduit segments and a loader containing a second set of conduit segments are mated together such as with a mating set of tracks and slots so that the two sets of conduit segments form a plurality of conduits that are each sealed from the other conduits. The loader is provided with a device for mating the conduit segments together in sealed relationship such as an eccentrically mounted rotatable cylinder and a platen in contact with the cylinder. The apparatus permits delivery of the dialysis solution to the patient and removal of the solution subsequently from the patient.
