  • Patent number: 11975274
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spray dried plasma composition having one or more of the following characteristics: when reconstituted, largely amorphous and has no cholesterol crystals; when reconstituted, the number of large particulates is reduced; has low residual moisture; reconstitutes rapidly in under four minutes; highly stable when stored under refrigeration, at room temperature or at elevated temperatures and allows for storage for longer periods of time; when reconstituted, exhibits recovery of the most fragile of proteins, including von Willebrand's factor; when reconstituted with Sterile Water for Injection (SWFI), reconstituted plasma is at a pH that is near normal plasma pH, and does so without treatment or storage in CO2 or other pH adjustment; and when reconstituted, has reduced complement activation (C5A, C3A).

  • Publication number: 20110113007
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for automatically providing a usage profile corresponding to a user of a plurality of information handling system resources. Survey information related to a user of IHS resources is collected and processed to generate survey information. IHS resources used by the user are determined and associated configuration and operational information is collected and processed to generate imported information. The survey information and the imported information are then processed to generate a set of user usage scores, which are in turn processed to produce a user usage model, which is likewise processed to generate a user usage fingerprint. Comparison operations are performed between the user usage fingerprint and a plurality of reference usage profiles and the reference usage profile most closely matching the user usage fingerprint is selected.

  • Publication number: 20050145584
Abstract: A wafer boat including a base plate, a top plate, a plurality of support rods, and a plurality of wafer supports. The support rods are disposed about a perimeter of the base plate and extend between the base plate and the top plate, each support rod including a plurality slots that define a plurality of teeth. The wafer supports are received in a corresponding slot of each of the plurality of support rods and have a continuous open shape that includes a pair of leg sections that form an interference fit with at least two of the support rods. The base plate, the top plate, the support rods, and/or the wafer supports may be prepared by molding ceramic powder such as silicon carbide, sintering to vaporize any active impurity components, washing to dissolve any remaining active impurity components with an acid solution, and oxidizing to remove any residual active impurity components.

  • Patent number: 6536608
Abstract: A vertical ceramic wafer boat for supporting a silicon wafer having a predetermined radius “R”. The wafer boat comprises a base portion and a column rack, which extends generally vertically upwards from the base portion. The column rack includes a pair of vertical column rack supports extending generally vertically upwards from the base portion. The column rack also includes a plurality of wafer supports having a generally Y shaped cross section. The wafer supports extend substantially horizontally from the column rack supports to define a plurality of slots within the column rack sized to receive the wafer.

  • Patent number: 6488497
Abstract: A vertical ceramic wafer boat for supporting a silicon wafer having a predetermined radius R. The wafer boat comprises a base and a pair of column racks. The column racks extend generally vertically upwards from the base. Each column rack includes at least one arm having an arcuate section. Each arcuate section is sized to provide substantial support for a 0.7 R boundary region of the wafer and spans an arc of less than 180 degrees.

  • Patent number: 5449106
Abstract: An intermittent terminal feed mechanism is provide in a machine for attaching terminals to electrical conductors. The terminals are fed, in strip form, along a feed track to a workstation by the intermittent feed mechanism that retracts away from the strip of terminals during the return stroke. The feed mechanism includes a support member that is threaded onto an adjustable coupling that is attached to and carried by the piston rod of a linear actuator. A pawl is pivotally attached at one end to the support member while the other end has a tooth that engages the strip of terminals for feeding. Another linear actuator is attached to the support member and is arranged to pivot the pawl into engagement with the strip of terminals during feeding thereof and out of engagement during the return stroke.

  • Patent number: 5410802
Abstract: A machine is disclosed for inserting terminals into cavities of a bobbin to terminate the ends of electrical windings. The machine includes a shear mechanism that separates the terminals from the carrier strip and then guides the terminals during insertion thereof by an insertion mechanism. The depth of insertion is grossly controlled by means of an adjustable stop screw while a fine adjusting mechanism is provided for precise depth control. The fine adjusting mechanism includes a movable carriage which is moved by an actuating cylinder and a tool holder which is carried by the carriage and, in addition, is movable with respect to the carriage. An insertion mechanism is attached to the tool holder. A wedge member is arranged between two opposing surfaces of the carriage and tool holder so that movement of the wedge member in one direction adjusts the mechanism for a deeper insertion while movement in the other direction adjusts the mechanism for a shallower insertion.

  • Patent number: 5319842
Abstract: A machine is disclosed for inserting terminals into cavities of a bobbin to terminate the ends of electrical windings. The machine includes a shear mechanism that separates the terminals from the carrier strip and then guides the terminals during insertion thereof. The shear mechanism includes a pair of links that form a toggle having a center pivot that is attached to the piston rod of an air cylinder. Movement of the toggle links in turn moves a pivoting lever that causes the shear blades to reciprocate. As the piston rod is made to extend, the links straighten and then pass center a small amount until a stop setscrew is engaged. As the links straighten the shear blades enter the die and sever the segments of carrier strip from the terminals. As the links pass over center the shear blade is partially withdrawn so that it clears features projecting from the sides of the terminals while a guide portion of the blade remains in guiding engagement with the severed terminals during insertion thereof.

  • Patent number: 4961815
Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus and method of wrapping a binding tape about a bundle of wires in an automated environment. A tape handling system is provided that de-reels and stores slack tape prior to performing the tape wrap operation. This slack type is then provided to the tape wrapping mechanism at a controlled tension to avoid stretching or breaking the tape.

  • Patent number: 4635493
Abstract: Apparatus for moving a reciprocating fluid emission head automatically through successive operating cycles, into and from a space within which predetermined operations are to be performed. The apparatus includes a frame mounted at one side of the operating space, a crankshaft journaled in the frame and rotary drive means for turning the crankshaft. The crankshaft drives a parallelogram-type link arrangement that includes a main link with one end supported for guided movement in the frame, a carrier arm connected to one end of the main link, a control arm parallel to the main link and connected at one end to the carrier arm and at its other end to the crankshaft, and an intermediate link parallel to the carrier arm and connected between the main link and the control arm. The inner end of the main link is guided through a controlled path of travel whereby the spray head mounted at the outer end of the carrier arm is moved between a retracted position and an extended position located within the operating space.
