Abstract: A method of fabricating a furniture glide is provided. The method includes the step of providing a furniture engaging layer having first and second surfaces. A slide is positioned adjacent to the second surface of the furniture engaging layer. The slide is fabricated from a meltable material. The slide is heated so as to cause a portion of the meltable material to melt and flow into the furniture engaging layer. Solidification of the portion of meltable material in the furniture engaging layer bonds the slide to the furniture engaging layer.

The base has upper and lower surfaces and first and second ends. An inclined plate extends along a second axis at a predetermined angle to the first axis. The inclined plate has upper and lower surfaces and first and second ends. The first end of the inclined plate intersects the first end of the base. A hook projects from the inclined plate. The hook has a terminal end vertically spaced from the upper surface of the inclined plate. A pad is affixed to the lower surface of the base.

Abstract: A castor wheel cover is provided for mounting on a wheel of a castor wheel assembly. The wheel has an outer surface and the castor wheel cover includes a floor engaging member having inner and outer surfaces. First and second sidewalls projecting from corresponding first and second side edges of the floor engaging member so as to define a channel therebetween. The channel is adapted for receiving the outer surface of the wheel therein.

Abstract: A furniture glide is provided for mounting on a lower surface of an object. The furniture glides includes a base having an upper surface and lower surface for engaging a supporting surface. A disc-shaped element projects radially outward from the outer periphery of the base. The disc-shaped element has an upper surface lying in a common plane with the upper surface of the base and a lower surface. A compressible sweeping element depending from the lower surface of the disc-shaped element and terminating at a floor engaging surface. As the lower surface of the object is slid along the supporting surface, the sweeping element of furniture glide sweeps debris, dirt and dust on the supporting surface away from the lower surface of the base.

Abstract: A strainer is provided to facilitate the washing of an item in a conventional sink. The strainer includes a flexible sheet having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough. Handles project from the outer periphery of the flexible sheet to move the flexible sheet between a first position wherein the sheet is generally planer and a second position wherein the sheet forms a bag. A plurality of spacers extends from and are spaced along a first face of the sheet to space the sheet from the surface of the sink.

Abstract: A slider and method of using the same is provided for facilitating the sliding of a load on a supporting surface. The slider includes a support platform having an upper surface for receiving the load thereon and a lower surface. A plurality of slider elements depend from the lower surface of the support platform. Each slider element has an outer surface engageable with the supporting surface. A lubricating pad extends from the support platform and is engageable with the supporting surface for lubricating the supporting surface during movement of the slider.

Abstract: A caster assembly is provided for supporting an object. The caster assembly includes a generally triangular landing for receiving the object thereon. The landing lies in a first plane. The caster assembly also includes first and second legs that lie in a second plane generally parallel to the first plane. The first and second legs are vertically spaced from the landing and each leg includes an upper surface and a lower surface. A first plurality of wheel assemblies are interconnected to the lower surface of the first leg and a second plurality of wheel assemblies are interconnected to the lower surface of the second leg.

Abstract: A bumper for protecting a contact point of a surface from engagement with an object and a method of fabricating the same are provided. The bumper includes a shell having first and second ends, an outer surface, and an inner surface defining a passageway through the shell between the first and second ends. A resilient material is positioned in the passageway and extends between the first end and the second end of the shell.

Abstract: A door wedge is provided for maintaining a door at a user desired position. The door wedge includes a flexible bridge member extending along a bridge axis. The bridge has an upper surface for engaging a bottom surface of the door, as well as, first and second opposite ends. The bridge is movable between a first flexed configuration wherein the bridge has a generally crescent shaped cross-section and a second non-flexed position wherein the bridge is generally flat. A first support has a first end operatively connected to a first end of the bridge and a second free end disposed beneath the first end of the first support. A second support has a first end operatively connected to the second end of the bridge and a second free end disposed beneath the first end of the second support. The first and second supports maintain the upper surface of the bridge against the bottom of the door in order to maintain the door at the user desired position.

Abstract: A flexible conduit that forms a raceway for cables and wires is provided. The flexible conduit includes a generally flat strip extending along an axis and a first plurality of hinges in the strip. Each of the first plurality of hinges is generally parallel to the axis such that the strip is foldable along the first plurality of hinges between a first open configuration and a second closed configuration wherein the strip of material defines the raceway. A second plurality of hinges, spaced along the axis, is also provided in the strip. Each hinge of the second plurality of hinges extends along a corresponding hinge axis generally perpendicular to the axis of the strip such that the strip is foldable along the second plurality of hinges between the first open configuration and a second folded configuration.

Abstract: A door stop is provided for retaining a door in a user selected position. The door stop includes a support connectable to the door adjacent the bottom thereof and a stop member pivotably connected to the support. The stop member is pivotable between a first retracted position and a second extended position wherein at least a portion of the stop member is below the bottom of the door.

Abstract: A furniture glide is provided that is receivable on a foot of a piece of furniture. The furniture glide includes a rentention boot including a bottom wall, upper wall and a sidewall that define a cavity for receiving the foot therein. The upper wall has a central opening therethrough that communicates with the cavity. A neck projects from the upper wall and extends about the opening. A slider bonded to the bottom wall of the retention boot to facilitate the sliding of the piece of furniture over a supporting surface such a floor or the like.

Abstract: A furniture glide is provided for mounting to a leg of a piece of furniture. The furniture glide having an inner surface for engaging a bottom of the leg of the piece of furniture and an outer surface for engaging a supporting surface. A first and second sidewalls project from opposite sides of the base and have inner surfaces for engaging opposites sides of the leg of the piece of furniture. Each sidewall is pivotable between a first storage position wherein the sidewall is spaced from a corresponding side of the leg and a second operating position wherein the sidewall is in engagement with the corresponding side of the leg.
