  • Patent number: 11365927
Abstract: A cooler with a hinging lid is comprised of a top deck having an opening and a unitary hinging lid to cover the opening; insulated sidewalls; and a bottom that together define an enclosed insulated inner volume for storage of objects. The inner volume can be accessed by opening the hinging lid. The hinging lid can be selectively opened, segment by segment, to access the inner volume while minimizing the exchange of air between the inner volume and the air surrounding the cooler. The hinging lid is comprised of a pull flap tab, an interior layer of reflective insulating material, at least one layer of support insulation material and a waterproof outer surface layer. The support insulation material of the hinging lid is divided into at least two discrete segments comprising a first segment and a second segment and can be articulated as a hinge between the segments.

  • Publication number: 20180339660
Abstract: A portfolio work station can be comprised of a first lid including a panel covered by a non-slip treatment; at least one of a side strap; a hinge; and a second lid including an adjustable mounting strap assembly. The adjustable mounting strap assembly can be extended to stabilize the portfolio work station in a vehicle seat. The non-slip treatment can be an arrestor array. The arrestor array can provide support to the bottom of a propped electronic device. The side strap can be adjustable and can be adjusted to maintain the stability of the portfolio work station. The arrestor array can be comprised of a plurality of arrestors. Each of a plurality of arrestors can be comprised of arrestor strips arranged in a pattern. The arrangement of the arrestor strips can be an open “X” pattern.

  • Patent number: 9854897
Abstract: This invention provides a backpack with a compartment containing a plurality of pockets for carrying personal electronic devices, including a specific pocket for storing a rechargeable battery pack within a range of sizes, shapes and cable socket number/placement on the pack's housing. The battery pocket defines crossing bands of elastic that accommodates/secures various battery form factors. Power cable access to sockets on the pack is eased by the flexibility of the straps and their interstices. The main compartment includes pockets for other electronic items, such as a tablet computer, smartphone and/or music player. Pockets are constructed from a mesh that includes an elastomer coating for frictional retention of items. A cable pocket, including pass through openings is also provided to route and store gathered/wound sections of power cables from the battery pack located therebelow. Cables extend from the cable pocket to various electronic devices in adjacent pockets, or externally.

  • Patent number: 7815069
Abstract: A collapsible, soft-sided, insulated cooler or other container having a top, a sidewall having a sidewall top connected to the rim of the top and a bottom connected at a sidewall bottom, opposite the top. The top includes a zipper or other closure that extends from a first point to a second point on the rim of the top in a line along a radial segment, traversing a central region of the top. The sidewall comprises an inner layer, an outer shell and an insulating material disposed therebetween. The sidewall further includes a spring wire that extends between the bottom and top of the container that biases the cooler to a fully expanded configuration for use and that is compressible for storage by pressing down on the top.

  • Patent number: 7588146
Abstract: This invention provides a case system that removably stores a laptop computer so that it can be removed normally through the top of the case when needed, but also through a flap formed in the side of the case while residing upon a tray with retention lips on at least three sides. The case can be a briefcase, messenger bag or backpack, among other styles. The tray edge facing the top opening is free of any lip or raised obstruction to allow laptop removal from the case through a conventional top flap. The tray is withdrawn/slid from the side of the case unzipping and opening the side flap. The tray is tethered to the case interior so that it extends only slightly beyond the adjacent edge of the case. In this manner, the tray/laptop is prevented from excess rotational movement (e.g. jackknifing) with respect to the case. The tray is free of any x-ray opaque structures or materials, thereby allowing an unobstructed scan to be performed on the laptop.

  • Patent number: 7487871
Abstract: This invention provides a padfolio, portfolio, case, bag or other business accessory that carries, on an exterior surface, a pocket flap that is typically open at the top edge and joined at a bottom edge. It has a size sufficient to completely cover a predetermined range of conventional documents (or other items), and in one embodiment, has side walls that taper from a wider bottom that may be longer than the predetermined documents to a narrower top that is typically shorter than the predetermined documents so that the side edges of the predetermined documents are at least partially visible to evidence their presence in the pocket. A narrow elastic strip joins each of the opposing side edges to the exterior surface at a location along the exterior surface that is outboard of opposing edges of the predetermined documents so that they may slide into the pocket free of interference for the joint between the elastic strips and the exterior surface.

  • Patent number: 4944253
Abstract: A water proof sheet slopes into a built-in shallow basin under a water device to collect any water leaking from the water tank in the device. Water sensitive elevated low voltage contacts in the basin are electrically connected to a relay. Conductors from the relay connect to shut-offs in the cold water supply, the hot water outflow and the power supply. Additional conductors connect from the relay to a valve on the outflow pipe to drain the tank and to a signal device. Alternatively, a water pump may be used instead of the valve on the outflow pipe to pump water to a distant drain, when there is no drain below the tank level into which to empty the tank.

  • Patent number: 4790758
Abstract: A hand-held movable airplane model is equipped on an outer face with an outer rotatable donut shaped disc and an inner stationary black circular disc. The outer disc, having compass markings, is rotated by turning a simulated OBS knob to simulate a course card. Indicator needles and flags on the stationary inner disc simulate V.O.R. and Gliode Slope indicators as they would actually appear on an airplane in similar positions and orientations to those of the model as the model is moved over a vertical surface simulating a flight pattern. All needles and flags on the model rotate on pivot pins through the inner disc. Tabs on the underside of each needle and flag are positioned beneath an elasticised band with a high friction surface. The band stretched around the periphery of the inner disc hold all of the needles and flags in place as they are oriented by hand.

  • Patent number: 4608022
Abstract: A hand-held movable airplane or boat model is equipped on an outer face with gravity actuated simulations of actual navigational instruments. Two interchangeable compass rose discs are mounted each on a separate split shaft spindle protruding from the model. One disc is asymmetrically weighted to maintain the disc in one orientation while the model, held in a vertical plane, moves and rotates to simulate routes of travel. When used with an indicator on the front center of the model, the weighted disc simulates an azimuth directional gyro. One of the spindles is bored axially to admit an indicator shaft rotatably therethrough. An indicator arrow mounted orthogonally on the outer end of the shaft aligns with an orthogonal extension on the inner end of the shaft below the model.
