  • Patent number: 5165246
Abstract: A trailer with piping and accessories capable of maintaining the ultra high purity of a cryogenic liquid while receiving and transporting the liquid, purging an external receiver, and transferring liquid to the receiver. The trailer has a heat exchnger for vaporizing a liquid flow from its liquid container into warmed gas. The gas is used for purging an external receiver and for pressurizing the liquid container sufficiently to transfer liquid into the purged receiver. The trailer piping allows purging of and then transferring to the receiver without opening any connections. The number of welded surfaces in the trailer capable of trapping and generating contaminants are reduced, particularly the number of welded penetrations of the liquid container.

  • Patent number: 4718239
Abstract: A cryogenic storage vessel and method for a high value cryogenic liquid wherein a second cryogenic liquid is utilized as a refrigerant. The refrigerant cryogenic liquid is caused to pass between a large reservoir and a small accumulator by differential pressure caused by heat leak into the vessel whereby the refrigeration of the cryogenic liquid is more efficiently employed for cooling.

  • Patent number: 4674674
Abstract: An improved method for fabricating mobile cryogenic storage vessels insulated with fiberglass batting, one layer of which is non-compressively secured to the outer shell and a second layer non-compressively secured either to the outer shell or to the inner vessel in such manner as to fill all spaces between the support members and so as to leave an annular evacuable space between the layers of insulation or between the layers of insulation and the inner vessel.
