  • Publication number: 20240097409
Abstract: In one embodiment, an energy management module having a form factor adapted to fit within one or more slots of a load center or panelboard of a structure is provided. The energy management module includes a housing configured to fit within the one or more slots of the load center or panelboard. It has a plurality of current sensor connectors configured to connect to current sensors that measure current flowing through breakers of the load center or panelboard to circuits within the structure. One or more power measurement DSPs are provided to measure power consumption of the circuits. It further has a microcontroller unit with a wireless network interface configured to communicate the power consumption measurements to a host controller or cloud services that provide the power consumption measurements for display in an energy management user interface.

  • Patent number: 7593685
Abstract: An optical mark recognition tabulation device includes a guide channel including opposing integral sidewalls configured to laterally constrain a test sheet as the test sheet is fed past a set of optical sensors. The optical sensors are aligned with optical entry indicia on the test sheet to sense marks on the optical entry indicia as the test sheet is fed past the optical sensors. The optical mark recognition tabulation device further includes a recessed channel located along at least a substantial portion of a side of the guide channel. The optical mark recognition tabulation device further includes a spacer strip configured to be received within the recessed channel and effectively reduce the width of the guide channel such that the guide channel is reconfigured to laterally constrain a different size of test sheet when the spacer strip is received within the recessed channel.

  • Patent number: 7335845
Abstract: A switching device is provided having an air-gap switch for an electrical load. The switching device can include a switch keycap configured for controlling the switching of the electrical load. A faceplate can be configured to surround the switch keycap. In addition, an air-gap actuator can be contained substantially within the switch keycap. The air-gap actuator can be pulled from the switch keycap to short out an electrical connection to the electrical load.

  • Patent number: 7030319
Abstract: A system is disclosed for mounting a faceplate. The system includes a sub-plate configured to be coupled to a junction box. The sub-plate can have an interference-fit socket extending through the sub-plate. The interference-fit socket includes one or more interference fingers located adjacent to a post opening. A post extending from the faceplate can be positioned and sized such that, as the faceplate is coupled to the sub-plate, the post will be received into the post opening in the interference-fit socket and engaged by the one or more interference fingers, enabling the faceplate to be securely mounted to the sub-plate.
