Abstract: An expert system and methods of use that replaces the inference engine by generating code blending the rules in the knowledge base and the activities of the inference engine is described. This code may be generated into any procedural language (such as but not limited to C++ and Java). The combination of the elimination of the inference engine and code generation into a procedural language enable the creation of complied expert systems to replace the prior art of interpreted inference expert systems. The execution speed of compiled languages is substantially faster (at least 100×) than interpreted implementations, allowing (among many other things) more or larger intelligent applications to be executed.
