    Abstract: A surgical system for positioning organs in a patient. The surgical system includes a mesh retrieval device and a mesh support structure. The mesh support structure is suitable for implanting in the patient to position the organ at a desired location in the patient. The mesh retrieval device is engageable with the mesh support structure. The system includes specialized needles and cannulas for delivery of the mesh retrieval device to the mesh support structure and the subsequent positioning of the mesh support structure, which results in the positioning of the organ. Methods of positioning organs in a patient using such devices are also disclosed.
