    Abstract: A contact lens is provided that has visible inversion marks on the lens. The marks include a plurality of recessed spots having side walls, a substantially convex bottom surface, and a relatively shallow maximum depth of between about 7.5 microns and 12 microns. The recessed spots provide a highly visible marking indicia on a contact lens with maximum comfort to wear.
