  • Patent number: 6388342
Abstract: An apparatus and method for converting renewable wave action energy to electrical energy that harnesses fluid wave power by employing a plurality of low-mass buoys floating on a fluid surface connected to low-volume pumps. The pumps transfer fluid from a source to an elevated storage tank. There, the water can be held in the tank as a reserve, when not being immediately used to generate electrical power. When there is a demand for electrical power, the reserve is released from the storage tank and flows, by gravity, through a hydro-electric generator creating an electrical current.
