  • Patent number: 6195952
Abstract: A composite interlocking vinyl or other veneer siding having an elongated insulating member bonded to a vinyl panel with a permanently flexible adhesive that is compatible with both vinyl and insulation material and does not harden. The insulating member is configured such that a front face of the insulating material exactly coincides with the profile of the front face of the vinyl member. The insulating member forms a shallow shelf at an upper edge of the insulating member and an adjacent insulating member forms another shelf to overlap the adjacent shallow shelf to form a shiplap seal when assembled. Horizontal and vertical edges of the vinyl siding and insulating member are configured to overlap when mounted.

  • Patent number: 5044637
Abstract: A cavity back driver has a club head body and a hosel. The club head body has a body shell and a substantially flat front face. The body shell has a generally arcuate lower flange and a generally curvilinear upper flange. The lower flange has a flattened portion generally midway therein. The face is canted from a plane normal to the flattened portion by a selected angle. Each of the lower flange and the upper flange extend rearwardly from the face to form the cavity back. The lower flange extends substantially further rearwardly than the upward flange and tapers inwardly towards a juncture with the upper flange at each end. The extension and tapering of the lower flange is selected so that the center of mass of the club head body is foreweighted and located a selected distance behind the center of the face. The hosel has a shaft portion which receives the shaft of the golf club and a club body portion integrally interconnected to the body shell proximate one juncture of the lower flange and the upper flange.

  • Patent number: 4969302
Abstract: A siding panel with a cover sheet of hardboard fixed by an adhesive to an underlying backerboard of resin foam. Preferably the panels are installed with their longitudes extending horizontally. Each panel is secured to a wall frame by nails passing through spaced apart holes through the cover sheet adjacent its upper longitudinal edge and a locking structure adjacent the lower longitudinal edge of the panel. In the first course of panels the locking structure engages a starter strip nailed to the wall frame and in each succeeding course of panels engages the upper edge of an adjacent panel in the immediately preceding course. The locking structure is a tongue and preferably an adjacent recess in the lower longitudinal edge of the backerboard which when installed receives and interlocks with the upper nailed edge of the cover sheet of an immediately adjacent panel or a flange of a starter strip simulating an upper edge of a panel.

  • Patent number: 4514970
Abstract: A rake attachment for combining two conventional rakes to be used as a pick-up rake. The attachment provides two handle clamps, which may be substantially identical, each clamp to be attached to the free end of a rake handle. One rake handle is attached to its clamp to prevent rotational and longitudinal movement of the handle with respect to the clamp. The second handle is fastened to its clamp so as to allow rotation of the rake handle. The two clamps are then detachably and hingeably connected. The second rake may be rotated to bring its tines in opposition with the tines of the first rake, for use as a pick-up rake. Alternately, the second rake may be rotated so as to nest its tines with those of the first rake, allowing use of the apparatus as a conventional rake. Further, the clamps may be detached from one another, allowing each rake to be used for conventional raking.

  • Patent number: 4506486
Abstract: A composite interlocking siding panel includes an elongate sheet metal or vinyl outer panel having a nailing strip along one longitudinal edge and mating interlocking means extending along each longitudinal edge. An elongate boardlike member of insulating material is bonded to the back of the outer panel. The insulating member is so configured that it may be of any selected thickness without interfering with the installation of the composite panel on a building wall. The insulating member includes a projection extending along one longitudinal edge which projects beyond the nailing strip and is configured, when installed, to snugly fit within an undercut recess in the mating longitudinal edge of a like interlocked panel with the rear surfaces of the insulating members lying in a common plane in their finally installed position.
