Abstract: A clamp apparatus is particularly configured for controlling bleeding by applying localized pressure to a wound site without strangulating the body member. A restraint supports the body member and inhibits bending thereof. A clear pressure pad having a protuberance is applied to the wound site. The protuberance may include a magnifying lens to magnify the wound site. Slots may be formed in the protuberance and a backing and aligned to receive a needle so that the transparent, magnifying pressure pad may be applied to a patient while undergoing an injective procedure, e.g., angiography. A pressure source provides force to the pressure pad. Strangulation is either prevented by wrapping an inflatable pressure cuff around the restraint or facilitated by wrapping the cuff directly around the body member without a restraint. An inflatable pressure pad is also provided to be applied to a wound site without a restraint.
