Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for controlling optical aberrations to alter modulation transfer functions by providing an ocular system comprising a predetermined corrective factor to produce substantially corrective stimuli for repositioning medium- and high-spatial frequency peaks relative to one another to alter accommodative lag. The invention will be used to provide continuous, useful clear visual images while simultaneously retarding or abating the progression of myopia or hypermetropia.
