  • Publication number: 20220338419
Abstract: A tree and shrub cutting and trimming device having multiple robotic arms FIG. 2B and M for gross and fine movements, a wheeled movable base FIG. 3 and an electric cutting or trimming tool. This device allows the operator to be on the ground level, a substantial distance from the cutting surface and will not be holding the cutting or trimming device FIG. 6. This device drastically reduces insurance costs and labor cost, thus a less expensive much safer device to perform these tasks is provided in this field of endeavor.

  • Publication number: 20070103928
Abstract: An automated process for embedding optical fiber in woven composites includes embedding a woven fabric in resin using a vacuum infusion process to create a structural composite with integrated optical conduit with less than 0.8413 optical loss. The optical fiber is embedded in the woven fabric in both warp and weft directions. Optical fiber connectorization is done without polishing.

  • Patent number: 6805236
Abstract: A case for holding, protecting, yet allowing easy linear access to a keyless entry device, the case comprising an open ended enclosure with a springlike element provided to frictionally hold the device securely yet slidably within the case.

  • Patent number: 5510566
Abstract: In methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) plant n-butane is used to regenerate a molecular sieve adsorption bed of an oxygen removal unit, and contaminated n-butane is purified by distillation and recycled for further regeneration. The requirement for n-butane is thus reduced and little or no contaminated n-butane need be diverted for use as fuel gas.

Date of Patent: April 23, 1996
Inventors: Vincent A. Muoio, Richard Caruso
  • Patent number: 5355591
Abstract: An attachment is provided for converting a table top steamer into an apparatus for steam treatment of the body. The attachment comprises an approximately cylindrical conduit having open ends and a plurality of holes located between the first and second ends. The conduit divides the steam jet discharged from the steamer into three streams and diffuses and cools the steam in each of these streams, thereby allowing the face and both hands of the user may be simultaneously steam treated. The attachment is locked onto the steamer by a pair of flexible tabs extending from the sides of the conduit. The tabs have holes formed therein that secure them to retainers extending from the steamer by means of a snap fit.

The conduit divides the steam jet discharged from the steamer into three streams and diffuses and cools the steam in each of these streams, thereby allowing the face and both hands of the user may be simultaneously steam treated. The attachment is secured to a cover on the steamer by a compression fit. Baffles formed on the open ends of the conduit serve to direct condensate to the vessel.

  • Patent number: 4687010
Abstract: The hair curler has a hollow core capable of being electrically heated. A porous sleeve surrounds the core. A passage is provided for enabling steam to enter the core and exit radially through the sleeve. The curler may be heated by steam, by electricity, and by a combination of steam and electricity.

Date of Patent: August 18, 1987
    Inventor: Richard Caruso
  • Patent number: 4627452
Abstract: A hair roller having a core open at one end is adapted to receive an electrical heater. The core is electrically conductive and is surrounded by a non-metallic sleeve. Non-metallic end caps are connected to each end of the core. A generally C-shield frictionally embraces the end caps.

  • Patent number: 4603706
Abstract: A hair curler for subjecting hair to steam to effect a curling action includes a hollow perforated core surrounded by a porous substrate. The core has circular extensions on each end which have a diameter greater than the diameter of the core. At lest one of the extensions is open at its end remote from the core and has an axial length which is substantially less than the length of the core.

  • Patent number: 4590687
Abstract: A hair styling diffuser having a flexible pouch with a plurality of perforations, an open end and one or more slits in communication with the open end. The open end is adapted for releasable, rotatable engagement with a nozzle of a hair blower. A comb is affixed to the pouch by a strap which secures the pouch to the nozzle adjacent the pouch open end.
