  • Publication number: 20200268431
Abstract: The present invention relates to electrode arrays that find use for rapid ablation of a target area of tissue in an organ and in particular to use of the electrode arrays to resect organs to coagulate tissue so that resection can be performed with minimal loss of blood. The target area may include a bulk area of tissue (such as a tumor) or organ (such as a kidney) or a defined target area within a tissue or organ (such as a linear strip, curved strip, cylindrical area, or other shape).

  • Publication number: 20140012831
Abstract: Images are processed by extracting a number of small, fixed size pixel arrays, here called tiles. The image is thus represented as a collection of small parts in almost cookie cutter fashion. For storage, the tile data are added to a database and indexed for fast recall. Stored images can be rescaled, possibly rotated, and inserted again for more robustness. A sample image for recall is likewise processed, the extracted tiles serving as keys to find their stored counterparts. The original image can thus be recognized from even a small portion of the original image, if the sample offers enough tiles for lookup. The invention includes an image collection module, an image processing module, a storage module, a recall module and an interactive module by which a user can query a sample image or sub-image against the stored information.

  • Publication number: 20110232260
Abstract: A turbine power plant which produces power from a plasma and high voltage electricity. A plurality of powerful electric fields are in operation within the turbine. One set of electrodes produce electric fields that charge the plasma to a very high degree of ionization, and forces the plasma to be pressed against a plurality of normally positively charged electrodes making up what is termed the power field. Suddenly, the plurality of electrodes making up the polarization fields are de-energized, and simultaneously, the plurality of electrodes making up the power fields are energized, and repels the plasma at an extremely high velocity into a plurality of turbine blades. As they strike the turbine blades, huge amounts of kinetic energy is transferred to a turbine shaft.

  • Patent number: 7835502
Abstract: An x-ray target pedestal assembly and a method of protecting the x-ray target from breaking down as a result of the extreme heat that is produced when an electron beam is aimed at the target to produce x-rays. The target is submerged in cooling fluid and is rotated by a constant flow of the cooling fluid over and around the target in order to dissipate heat. The fluid is guided by integrated flow diverters in the target cover. The target may also be protectively coated either in its entirety or along the electron beam path in order to further protect it from the heat of the electron beam impact or from breakdown as a result of attack of free radicals or other chemically reactive components of the cooling fluid which are produced in the extreme target environment.

  • Patent number: 7634903
Abstract: An ion engine which produces thrust by charging a propellant vapor in an electric field and then reversing the polarity of the electric field. The electric field forces the charged nuclei close to the unenergized electrode. When the electrode is energized as a positive electrical charge, the nuclei repel and create thrust in the opposite direction.
