  • Publication number: 20170273282
Abstract: This invention is related to an aquaculture heating device. A heating unit is hung on a support rod, so that the support rod can be horizontally placed above an aquaculture and two ends of the support rod can be fixedly positioned on two sides of the aquaculture to let the heating unit hung on the support rod to be dropped and immersed in the water of the aquaculture when winter, especially cold stream, comes. When electricity is provided to conductive yarns of a heating layer of the heating unit, heating filaments of the conductive yarns will generate heat to be transferred to the water and gradually diffused throughout the aqua culture through the waterproof fabric layer. Thus, the water temperature is raised to effectively help the aquatic organisms to resist the cold winter and not to be frozen to death caused by the very low water temperature.

  • Patent number: 9738150
Abstract: An energy efficient vehicle and a disc-type dynamic motor thereof are disclosed. The vehicle comprises front wheels and rear wheels, and a gasoline engine is assembled in the vehicle for driving a generator producing power. The power is transported to a capacitor battery via a circuit control system and then to disc-type dynamic motors, which are assembled with the rear wheels, from the capacitor battery via two power lines respectively, whereby the disc-type dynamic motors directly driving the vehicle travelling at high-speed and high torque via the wheels. Accordingly, the energy efficient vehicle does not include transmission devices, such as the clutch, the transmission, the power transmission shaft, and the differential. The power produced by the generator is directly provided to the disc-type dynamic motors to drive the vehicle travelling and is enough to drive the disc-type dynamic motors, so the vehicle does not need to stop for charging.

  • Patent number: 9719194
Abstract: A conductive yarn and an apparatus for making the same are disclosed. The conductive yarn comprises a non-conductive core thread and a fine metal thread wound around the surface of the non-conductive core thread. The fine metal thread is guided by the apparatus to wind around the surface of the non-conductive core thread in a spiral form. The apparatus comprises a base station, an axle on the base station, and a spool set on the axle for twisting the fine metal thread. The core thread passes through the center of the axle, and the axle is driven by a power to drive the spool to rotate, whereby winding the fine metal thread around the surface of the non-conductive core thread so as to form an elastic and flexible conductive yarn.

  • Publication number: 20160367051
Abstract: A thermal fiber sleeping bag structure comprises a sleeping bag body and a thermal fiber mat which is laid on the sleeping bag body. The thermal fiber mat is woven by scalable, flexible yarns which can be heated when energized with power, and which includes non-conductive main axis threads and a conductive fine metal filament spirally wound around the outside of the main axis threads. According to this structure of laying the thermal fiber mat on the sleeping bag body, a thermal fiber sleeping bag capable of generating heat upon energizing with electric power can be obtained for indoor or outdoor heating in winter season.

  • Publication number: 20160369466
Abstract: The invention relates to a heating pad for melting snow on roads. The heating pad mainly comprises an upper and a lower insulating layers for waterproofing and current leakage preventing, a fixed wrapping clothe layer, and a conductive heating fabric wrapped by the upper and the lower insulating layers. The conductive heating fabric is woven by conductive yarns as warps, and metal conductive wires as wefts. In addition, the conductive yarns each comprises a nonconductive axial yarn and a fine metal filament winding on the axial yarn. The fine metal filament winds outside the axial yarn to form a stretchable and flexible conductive yarn. Therefore, the woven conductive heating fabric is coated by an insulating layer made by rubber, plastic or silicone to form the heating pad having conductive heating effect. The heating pad can be applied on trails or lanes outside garages to melt snow in the winter outdoors.

  • Publication number: 20160374148
Abstract: A heating pad for applying to curtains comprises at least a curtain fabric, a lining cloth, and a heating fabric combined with the lining cloth and covered by the curtain fabric. The heating fabric is woven by conductive yarns in the weft direction and conductive metal wires and non-conductive yarn in the warp direction. The elastic and flexible conductive yarn is consist of a non-conductive core thread and a fine metal thread guided by the apparatus to be wound around the surface of the non-conductive core thread in a spiral form. The woven heating fabric is combined and fixed with a curtain fabric or between the double layers of the curtain fabrics to form a heating pad with the effect of conduction and heat generation. The heating pad is applied to cover a window of an interior space in a cold and snow area.

  • Publication number: 20160374149
Abstract: A thermal fiber carpet structure has a heating layer sandwiched between two shell fabric layers. When winter comes, the carpet structure of the present invention is laid on the floor, and then power is supplied to conductive yarns of at least one heating fabric provided on the heating layer so that heating wires of the conductive yarns are energized to generate heat. The heat generated is spread upward and uniformly dispersed to each corner of indoor space. When user walks in the room, his soles of feet can feel immediately the temperature rise and hence the warmth. By the present invention, the indoor humidity decrease is slowed down, power consumption is reduce, energy saving and carbon reduction effect is achieved. Moreover, installation of the present invention is simple so as to reduce significantly construction cost and labor hours.

  • Publication number: 20160030703
Abstract: This invention described a method of, and device for increasing human ability for idea generation and insight related tasks. “Thinking outside the box” is difficult and often requires a qualitatively different perception of the task at hand. One aspect of the invention is a method for facilitating such pursuits by applying electrical stimulation at selected brain areas before or during an idea generation or insight related task. One aspect of our method is to temporarily enable a person to perceive insight related tasks in a way that is less influenced by past expectations and more open to novel representations. In one embodiment, this is achieved by suppressing the left anterior temporal lobe and/or facilitating the right anterior temporal lobe with non-invasive electrical stimulation.

  • Publication number: 20160021328
Abstract: Video frames of a performance are provided at times at a slower input rate and at other times at a faster input rate. A video display is automatically switched to a first display scan mode when receiving frames at the slower input rate, and switched to a second display scan mode when receiving frames at the faster input rate. The second display scan mode being different than the first display scan mode. For example, the display scan modes may have different frame rates or the first display mode may be progressive and the second display scan mode may be interlaced.

  • Patent number: 8135073
Abstract: A video stream containing encoded frame-based video information includes a first frame and a second frame. The encoding of the second frame depends on the encoding of the first frame. The encoding includes motion vectors indicating differences in positions between regions of the second frame and corresponding regions of the first frame, the motion vectors defining the correspondence between regions of the second frame and regions of the first frame. The first frame is decoded and a re-mapping strategy for video enhancement of the decoded first frame is determined using a region-based analysis. Regions of the decoded first frame are re-mapped according to the determined video enhancement re-mapping strategy for the first frame so as to enhance the first frame. The motion vectors for the second frame are recovered from the video stream and the second frame is decoded.

  • Patent number: 8023988
Abstract: Techniques to more efficiently control the transmit power for a data transmission that uses a number of formats (e.g., rates, transport formats). Different formats for a given data channel (e.g., transport channel) may require different target SNIRs to achieved a particular BLER. In one aspect, individual target BLER may be specified for each format of each data channel. In another aspect, various power control schemes are provided to achieve different target SNIRs for different formats. In a first power control scheme, multiple individual outer loops are maintained for multiple formats. For each format, its associated outer loop attempts to set the target SNIR such that the target BLER specified for that format is achieved. In a second power control scheme, multiple individual outer loops are maintained and the base station further applies different adjustments to the transmit power levels for different formats.
