  • Publication number: 20100232147
Abstract: An LED worklight having a center core and a first panel and a second panel coupled to the center core. The first panel includes a first array of LEDs mounted to a first circuit board disposed within a first opening formed within the first panel and a first lens disposed over the first array of LEDs. The second panel includes features similar to the first panel. The second panel is rotatable around the center core from a 0 degree closed orientation to about a 360 degree orientation, and is positionable at any intermediate angle therebetween. The LED worklight includes a retractable hook for mounting to an elevated object. The LED worklight also includes at least one magnet to mount the LED worklight to vertical/vertically angling surfaces. The array of LEDs mounted to the first panel and the second panel can be controlled independently of one another.

  • Publication number: 20090320412
Abstract: A method for controlling the transfer of a product stack in a packaging machine is provided, wherein the product stack is built up from a products during a work cycle and is subsequently transferred by means of a transfer apparatus (12) into a cell (18) of a continuously moved conveyor (16) during a transfer cycle. The product stack which is situated in the transfer apparatus and the cell of the conveyor assume a predefined relative position at least at the end of the transfer cycle. There is provision here for the movement speed of the conveyor to be changed in the event of an operationally caused lengthening of the work cycle and a resulting delayed start of the transfer cycle, in such a way that the cell or a following cell of the conveyor assumes the predefined relative position with respect to the product stack at the end of the transfer cycle.

  • Publication number: 20080138187
Abstract: During operation of a blister in a blister packaging machine, the blister is grasped by a relocating device at a supply position and disposed at a deposition location of a continuous conveying device which is driven in cycles, wherein several blisters are stacked at the deposition location during one cycle of the conveying device to form a stack. The individual blisters of the stack are associated with different motions of the relocating device. The relocating device comprises a main arm which can be pivoted about a first pivot axis using a first drive device, and a side arm disposed on the main arm, which can be pivoted relative to the main arm about a second pivot axis using a second drive device, and which carries a receiving device for receiving the blister.

  • Patent number: 7121065
Abstract: A method for controlling a blister packaging machine during which a bottom film provided with a recess is, inside or in front of a sealing station, brought together with a top film and is guided through the sealing station at a constant speed of conveyance. A sealing roll, whose temperature can be controlled, is provided inside the sealing station and serves to seal the top film onto the bottom film. The speed of conveyance can be preselected in an at least indirect manner. When selecting a modified set value of the conveyance speed, the temperature of the sealing roll and the speed of conveyance are modified according to a predetermined characteristic curve until the predetermined set value of the speed of conveyance is reached.

  • Patent number: 7055296
Abstract: A method for controlling a blister packaging machine has a work station which at least operates in cycles and which performs at least one first adjusting motion for a time period TV1 during one work cycle, followed by a treatment state for a time period TB, in which a product and/or material is treated. A second adjusting motion is then performed for a time period TV2 followed by a resting state for a time period TR. The time periods TV1, TB, TV2 and TR and a cycle rate R (=cycles/min) of the packaging machine are preset and at least the cycle rate R can be changed to a different cycle rate RV using an input device. A cycle time difference ?T which results from the changed cycle rate RV is substantially used to change the duration TR of the resting state. The time periods TV1, TB and TV2 preferably remain unchanged when entering a different cycle rate RV.

The time periods TV1, TB and TV2 can each be entered directly or indirectly irrespective of each other via the input means. A processing unit examines whether the entered time periods TV1, TB, TV2 are within predetermined limits and whether their sum is smaller or equal to a maximum cycle time Tmax.

  • Patent number: 6793941
Abstract: Benzyldimethyl{2-[2-(p-1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutylphenoxy)ethoxy]ethyl} ammonium chloride (BDT) forms the basis of contact lens solutions that are unusually effective at reducing the number and wide variety of pathogenic microorganisms that may infect rigid gas permeable or soft contact lenses. Furthermore, it has been discovered that natural occurring compounds alone and in combination with chemical agents can be used in ophthalmic solutions such as contact lens solution to enhance and complement their anti-microbial, cleaning and wetting activity or to reduce irritation to the eye. The basic contact lens solution comprises an effective concentration of BDT (preferably 1 to 100 parts per million), with naturally occurring plant products possessing activities complementary to BDT, in an isotonic diluent buffered with a physiologically acceptable buffer to a physiologically natural range.

  • Patent number: 6698576
Abstract: In a method for transferring a product in a packaging machine, the product is engaged from behind by a pushing element which is mounted on and driven by a first circulating continuous conveyor and moved from a transfer station along a sliding surface for transfer to an ongoing conveyor device. While being moved, the product is guided between the pushing element and a forward limiting element which is mounted on a second circulating continuous conveyor. To ensure a precise, rapid transfer, the forward limiting element is returned to the transfer station after the product has been moved by the carrying run of its second continuous conveyor and is used as the pushing element for the next product to be moved. The pushing element is guided back to the transfer station in the opposite direction to that in which the product is conveyed by means of its first continuous conveyor and is used as the limiting element for the next product to be moved.

  • Patent number: 6679303
Abstract: A tube-filling machine has a supply device for transporting a tube through different processing stations. The processing stations include a filling station in which a filling pipe is introduced from above into the substantially vertical tube. A filling medium is introduced through the filling pipe into the tube using a dosing device. To introduce the filling medium into the tube with high reliability and to prevent soiling of the tube-filling machine due to defective filling, a sensor device for detecting the relative position between the tube and the inserted filling pipe is disposed in the filling station and a control device is provided which receives a position signal from the sensor device in dependence on which the dosing means can be controlled by the control device.

  • Publication number: 20020169505
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for creating shaped implants, such as intraocular lenses in vivo, as well as the novel implants themselves. Utilizing the method of the invention, it is possible to create an implant in vivo and to adjust either the physical properties such as refractive index, viscosity, etc., mechanical properties such as modulus, tensile strength, tear, etc., or the shape of the implant by noninvasive means. For example, using the method of the patent it is possible to create an intraocular lens in vivo and then adjust the shape and power of the lens through no invasion means. The novel implants are also addressed in this application.
