    Abstract: A hangtag has a sample fabric portion of the same fabric material used to cover a lampshade which is protected by a covering. The fabric portion is accessible to enable a consumer to touch and feel the sample fabric portion and determine whether to proceed with purchasing the lampshade despite the inability to directly touch the fabric material on the lampshade due to the presence of the covering.

    Abstract: A drape is maintained at a distance from, and out of contact with, an exterior surface of a lampshade of an electrical lamp. The drape is mounted on a support which, in turn, is mounted on the lampshade and/or the lamp. The support has extensions that extend beyond the exterior surface. The drape is suspended from the extensions. Different drapes create different appearances for the lamp.

    Abstract: A lampshade includes a self-supporting backing member constituted of an extruded oriented polystyrene and an additive including a light-reflecting powdered filler, especially titanium dioxide, co-extruded with the oriented polystyrene and weighing in the range of 1%-10% of the total weight of the polystyrene. A fire-retarding filler, for example, antimony oxide, is also coextruded.
