  • Patent number: 12143788
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to transitioning a playback session between portable playback devices such as “smart” headphones, earbuds, and handheld speakers with playback devices of a zone-based media playback system. Exemplary techniques facilitate continuity of playback when transitioning between locations (e.g., from at home to on-the-go or vice versa) or between listening paradigms (e.g., personal or out-loud playback of audio content). An example implementation includes detecting a swap trigger, determining the source playback device(s) and target playback device(s), and performing a playback session swap between the source playback device(s) and target playback device(s).

  • Patent number: 12099486
Abstract: A transaction request compliant with a first version of a journal schema of a multi-data-store storage system is received at a journal manager. The journal schema indicates attributes of data objects which may be materialized at various data stores of the system. The journal manager stores an entry in the system's journal if the transaction meets acceptance criteria. Writes indicated in the entry are materialized at the data stores after verifying that the entry is compliant with the journal schema. After verifying that member data stores have approved a proposed change to the journal schema, another entry indicating a different version of the journal schema is added to the journal. Client-side components of the system obtain the current version of the journal schema to prepare the transaction requests.

  • Patent number: 12050561
Abstract: A journaled database system may comprise data nodes that maintain a collection of data structured in accordance with a schema. A change to the schema may be applied by a journal module while a journal consumer continues to operate using a prior version of the schema. A buffer may be formed and have stored therein records describing state change instructions according to the prior view of the schema. An index of correspondence between the records in the buffer and in the source journal may be maintained.

  • Publication number: 20220112911
Abstract: A telescopic mast which is automatically extendable and/or retractable comprising a first tubular section and a second tubular section having a locking member mounted thereto. The first tubular section is slideably disposed within the second tubular section, and the locking member is movable in a radial direction relative to the second tubular section to bear against the first tubular section, so that the first and second tubular sections are held together. A third tubular section has a disengaging block mounted thereto. The second tubular section is slideably disposed within the third tubular section, and the disengaging block is shaped to guide the locking member radially outwards and disengage the locking member from the first tubular section when the mast is collapsed. When the mast is retracted or collapsed the second tubular section slides with respect to the third tubular section so the disengaging block guides the locking member radially outwards.

  • Publication number: 20210117908
Abstract: Systems and methods provide graph views and models for representing networks and associated inventory. A management system includes models of service and network inventory, their relationships, and state. To support the processes effectively, the inventory must provide capabilities to change the state of the inventory to reflect changes within the network or planning processes for the intention of the network. The present disclosure includes a technique for providing multiple views of (inventory) data via the relationships in a graph database. The present disclosure further includes a metadata specification that is an approach for defining compatibility between types of entities, separate from the composition representing their constituent parts. Finally, the present disclosure includes behavior modeling that is a mechanism to attach behaviors to entities in the model, and re-use existing behaviors for new entities in the future when added to the model.

  • Publication number: 20170091806
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method includes receiving data indicative of an Internet browsing session of a user. The data includes an identification of a product webpage that the user visited during the Internet browsing session and a first timestamp indicating a time associated with the user's Internet browsing session. The method further includes accessing a show database storing identities of a plurality of products shown on one or more television shows and a plurality of timestamps. The method further includes determining whether the Internet browsing session of the user is attributable to the user viewing one of the television shows by comparing the data indicative of the Internet browsing session of the user with the show database storing identities of the plurality of products shown on the television shows and the plurality of timestamps.

  • Patent number: 9584563
Abstract: A method of accessing content at a user terminal connected to a communication network and executing a communication client includes the client displaying a list of contacts associated with a user of the client and the client retrieving a message from the communication network. The message is related to a further user represented by one of the contacts displayed in the list of contacts, and includes a reference to content stored in a storage means accessible by the communication network. The client initiates a call to the further user over the communication network responsive to a user of the client selecting the one of the contacts in the list of contacts. Responsive to initiating the call, the client establishes communication with the storage means using the reference, accesses the content and displays the content at the user terminal.
