  • Publication number: 20240074771
Abstract: Systems and methods for the intravascular treatment of clot material within a blood vessel of a human patient are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, engaging an interventional device of a catheter system with clot material in a blood vessel and withdrawing the interventional device and the portion of the clot material through a guide catheter. In some embodiments, the catheter system can include an attachment/valve member coupled to a proximal portion of the guide catheter, and the method can include unsealing the attachment/valve member to facilitate withdrawing the interventional device through the attachment/valve member without significant retention of clot material within the attachment/valve member. The method can further include resealing and aspirating the guide catheter before advancing another interventional device to the clot material to again engage and remove clot material from the blood vessel.

  • Patent number: 9609539
Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for crowdsourcing measurements of wireless base stations, access points and/or other transmitters from a mobile device to a server are presented. A crowdsourcing request sent by a server to a mobile device may comprise control parameters and measurement parameters. Control parameters may determine when a mobile obtains and reports measurements and measurement parameters may determine which types of measurements a mobile device obtains. Control parameters may comprise trigger parameters for crowdsourcing activation, measurement, reporting and duration. Crowdsourcing may be instigated by a control server and reported to a different data server. Crowdsourcing may be anonymous and may comprise basic or advanced reporting.

  • Patent number: 9268020
Abstract: A sonar transducer assembly includes a housing mountable to a water craft capable of traversing a surface of a body of water. The sonar transducer assembly includes a linear downscan transmit/receive transducer element positioned within the housing, aimed downwardly, and configured to transmit sonar pulses in the form of a fan-shaped beam perpendicular to a plane of the surface of the water, and further configured to receive sonar returns from the sonar pulses and convert sound energy of the sonar returns into downscan sonar return data. The sonar transducer assembly also includes at least one sidescan receive-only transducer element positioned within the housing, aimed outwardly and downwardly, and configured to receive sonar returns from the sonar pulses and convert sound energy of the sonar returns into sidescan sonar return data.

  • Patent number: 8029752
Abstract: The invention provides a method of controlling silica in the liquor circuit of the Bayer process. The method involves addition of a promoter material to enhance the precipitation of DSP and includes adding one or more silica dispersion materials or dry silica forms to those parts of the circuit where precipitation of DSP and removal of silica from solution is desirable; for example the desilication stage of a Bayer process plant. The removal of DSP from solution reduces silica concentration in the liquor and thereby enables better control of process issues such as silica contamination in alumina product and DSP formation in later stages of the process where precipitation as scale onto vessel walls and equipment is problematical. As a result, the invention provides a significant reduction in the total cost of operating a Bayer process.

  • Publication number: 20090050333
Abstract: A control system for a surface controlled sub-surface safety valve has first and second control lines. The first control line communicates control fluid to the sub-surface safety valve and preferably has a sump and in-line filters. Hydraulic pressure applied to the safety valve with this first control line can open the safety valve. The second control line also communicates control fluid to the sub-surface safety valve and preferably has a sump. A connecting valve is connected between the first and second control lines. The connecting valve allows control fluid to communicate from the first control line to the safety valve but prevents fluid communication from the second control line to the first control line. To open the valve, the second control line is exhausted to a reservoir. The dual control lines provide redundant control of the safety valve and can also be cycled to remove debris from the system.

  • Patent number: 7480146
Abstract: In some embodiments, a heat sink is pressed down on a heat source such as an integrated circuit by rotating a cam to press down a set of springs over a loading arm, which is in turn positioned over a heat sink base. A cam shaft is placed in a hinge opening of a mounting frame secured to a printed circuit board (PCB). The mounting frame encloses a heat sink positioned over an IC. The hinge opening defines a hinge axis parallel to the PCB plane. A loading arm includes spring wells for holding coil springs, which are compressed between the mounting frame and the bottoms of the spring wells when the cam is rotated. The mounting frame and loading arm may include mating, self-locking sections including hinge protrusions having cross-sections shaped as a circle sectioned linearly off-center.

  • Patent number: 7373709
Abstract: A method of installing a threaded fastener from one side of a hole through a substrate. The fastener includes a collar and a bolt having a head, a threaded tail portion and a tool engagement portion extending from the tail. The method includes: (a) engaging the tool engagement portion with a bolt engagement portion of a tool (b) passing the bolt through to the far side of the hole and supporting it there by way of the tool, (c) passing the collar through the hole while supporting it with the tool; (d) assembling the bolt and collar to form the threaded fastener having a head larger than the hole; (e) engaging a nut to tighten the fastener; and (f) detaching the tool from the fastener. Separation of the bolt engagement portion and the tool engagement portion is prevented by a moveable member, which engages both portions.
