  • Patent number: 6263937
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for forming a resin-impregnated fiber web that is particularly suitable for use in reinforced plastic composites and printed circuit board applications. The method includes the steps of drawing machine direction yarns from multiple spools contained in creels arranged around a hollow cylinder; passing machine direction yarns from the creels through a circular reed; pulling machine direction yarns the length of the hollow cylinder's outer surface in a longitudinal direction; controlling the application of an uncured or partially cured thermoset or thermoplastic resin to the yarns as they travel the length of the hollow cylinder; winding cross-direction yarns around the periphery of the hollow cylinder (i.e., on top of the machine direction yarns) thereby forming a web; heating and cooling the resulting web; and finally collecting the web on a roll.

  • Patent number: 4394909
Abstract: Persons are prevented from being accidentally jabbed or snagged by the outwardly projecting arm of a "Pegboard hook" by a flexible guard adapted to overlie the arm and formed with a shield for substantially enclosing the outer end of the arm. The guard is formed by two slidably telescoped sections which may be adjusted to change the effective length of the guard and enable the guard to be used with hanger arms of different lengths.

  • Patent number: 4201255
Abstract: Hanger bolts are delivered one-by-one from a hopper and each is picked up by a reciprocating holder which shifts the bolt laterally and broadwise into alinement with a power-rotated chuck. The bolt then is pushed endwise into the chuck by a furniture leg and is threaded into the leg as an incident to being turned about its own axis by the chuck. A shelf, a gate and an escapement coact to effect delivery of the bolts from the hopper to the holder in timed relation with the reciprocation of the holder.

  • Patent number: 4113109
Abstract: The upper ends of display packages are formed with hooks and notches which enable a first package to hang either directly or substantially directly from a perforated panel and to enable each succeeding package to hang directly from and in front of the immediately preceding package so that a series of packages may be hung in a forwardly extending row without need of a forwardly projecting hook for supporting the packages.

  • Patent number: 4026060
Abstract: A lock fastener for a fishing reel which includes a first member formed with a threaded bore therein and adapted to engage the foot of a fishing reel and hold it in locked position on an associated fishing rod, a second member having a shank dimensioned to screw into the bore of the first member, the shank being recessed along a portion of its length and a lock member positioned between the first member and the recessed portion of the second member wherein the lock member prevents complete withdrawal of the second member from the first member but permits a limited amount of withdrawal so that the fishing reel may be readily removed from or locked onto the fishing rod.
