  • Patent number: 5329720
Abstract: An enhanced fishing lure is disclosed for attaching a bait to a fishing line, comprising a lure head having a front aperture for enabling the fishing line to extend therethrough. The lure head has an insert cavity communicating with the front aperture. A lure insert comprises an insert portion with a first and a second panel extending from the lure head and the lure insert, respectively. At least one locking pin is secured to one of the first and second first and second panels for cooperating with at least one locking aperture defined in the other of the first and second panels. A restrainer is secured to the lure insert for restraining the movement of the fishing line relative thereto. The locking pin extends through the bait for restraining the movement of the bait relative thereto.

  • Patent number: 5275309
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for an improved one-way valve comprising a base for mounting in a chamber with a valve surface engaging with a sealing surface to close an input aperture of the chamber. A flexible web is interposed between the base and the valve surface for resiliently biasing the valve surface into engagement with the sealing surface thereby closing the input aperture. When a fluid pressure from the input aperture exceeds the resilient bias of the flexible web, the valve surface is displaced from the sealing surface for opening the input aperture to permit the flow of the liquid from the input aperture through the chamber into an output aperture. Upon a sufficient fluid pressure within the chamber, the valve surface engages with the sealing surface for closing the input aperture to inhibit the flow of fluid from the chamber into the input aperture.

  • Patent number: 5177895
Abstract: An improved fishing lure is disclosed for attaching a bait to a fishing line comprising a lure head having a front aperture for enabling the fishing line to extend therethrough. The lure head has an insert cavity and a first side panel defining a locking aperture. A lure insert comprises an insert portion and a second side panel supporting a locking pin. The fishing line is restrained from movement relative to the lure insert whereas the locking pin extends through the bait for restraining the movement of the bait relative thereto. The lure insert is insertable within the insert cavity with the fishing line extending through the front aperture and with the locking aperture cooperating with the locking pin for interlocking the lure insert to the lure head and for retaining the bait between the first and second side panels.

  • Patent number: 5114047
Abstract: A pump and mixing device for pumping a liquid from a container and mixing with a diluent. The pump and mixing device comprises a body member having an input body portion and an output body portion with a flexible wall defining a pumping chamber between the input body portion and the output body portion. The input body portion has an input aperture for enabling the liquid to flow from the container into the input body portion. The output body portion has an output aperture communicating with the flowing diluent. An input one-way valve is disposed in the input aperture for permitting the flow of liquid only from the container to the pumping chamber whereas an output one-way valve is disposed in the output aperture for permitting the flow of liquid only from the pumping chamber.

  • Patent number: 4624395
Abstract: A hot beverage dispensing machine is disclosed for dispensing a beverage from a concentrate. The dispensing machine includes a beverage concentrate container disposed in an inverted orientation within a refrigerated compartment. A first valve is associated with the container, the first valve permitting the flow of the concentrate from the container when the container is located within the refrigerated compartment in an inverted position. A receptacle having a receptacle output removably receives the inverted container. A first electrically controlled valve regulates the flow of the concentrate via the receptacle output to a mixer wherein the concentrate is mixed with hot water from a hot water tank. A second electrically controlled valve regulates the flow of hot water from the water tank to the mixer. A dispenser spout is disposed in fluid communication with the mixer with the spout being disposed remote from the hot water inlet.

  • Patent number: 4498275
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for filling and capping a quantity of stackable containers with a fluid from a fluid reservoir. The apparatus comprises a rotary table having a plurality of apertures disposed therein for receiving the containers. Containers from a container magazine are transferred individually and placed within the apertures in the rotary table. A filling head is disposed at a second position for filling the container with the fluid pumped from the fluid reservoir. A lid magazine is disposed at a third position with a rotatable arm means for transferring lids from the lid magazine to the filled container. A lid sensor is included for sensing the presence of a lid on the rotatable arm during rotation thereof. A heat sealer located at a fourth position heat seals the lid to the container. A discharge station is located at a fifth position for discharging the capped containers from the rotary table.
