  • Patent number: 11980360
Abstract: Devices, systems and/or methods for repairing soft tissue adjacent a repair site. In one embodiment, a repair device is delivered with a delivery device system configured to move a cartridge with the repair device disposed therein toward an anvil with soft tissue positioned thereon. The delivery device linearly moves the cartridge toward the anvil with a worm drive positioned within a housing by rotating a thumb wheel disposed around the worm drive. Such linear movement is provided with a finger element extending from the worm drive that is configured to cooperate with an internal surface of the thumb wheel. With this arrangement, upon rotating the thumb wheel, the worm drive rotates with the finger element engaged with the internal surface of the thumb wheel to linearly move the cartridge toward the anvil.

  • Publication number: 20240123307
Abstract: A golf club has a first shaft coupled to a club head, a second shaft configured to slidably engage a portion of the first shaft, a grip coupled to the second shaft, and an adjustable length shaft assembly received by the second shaft and configured to allow a portion of the first shaft to slide in relation to the second shaft in a first configuration, and to restrict a portion of the first shaft from sliding in relation to the second shaft in a second configuration. The grip is restricted from rotation about the first shaft or the second shaft as the first shaft slides in relation to the second shaft.

  • Patent number: 11957334
Abstract: Devices, systems and/or methods for repairing soft tissue adjacent a repair site. In one embodiment, a repair device includes a plate member and an anchor. The plate member having a periphery, the plate member configured to be positioned along an outer surface of the soft tissue. The anchor includes a base and six legs extending from the base, the six legs extending from the base being moveable to a curled configuration such that the six legs wrap around separate portions of the periphery of the plate member with the soft tissue therebetween. In this manner, the repair device may be anchored to the soft tissue.

  • Patent number: 11944531
Abstract: Devices, systems and/or methods for repairing soft tissue adjacent a soft tissue repair site. In one embodiment, a repair device configured to couple to soft tissue is provided. The repair device includes a capture portion and an anchor portion. The capture portion configured to extend with radial portions. The anchor portion includes a base with multiple legs extending therefrom. The multiple legs are configured to move from a linear position to a formed position such that, in the formed position, the multiple legs couple to structure of the capture portion.

  • Patent number: 5363258
Abstract: A robotic manipulator for picking and placing data storage cassettes in an automated storage library. The manipulator has a pair of fingers, one finger being longer than the other. An eject bar is located between the fingers and has a tab for pushing a storage cassette into the seated operative position in an IBM 3480 type tape reader. The manipulator approaches the slot in the reader, supporting the data cassette on the long finger and holding it in place with the short finger. The short finger pivots to free the cassette and the eject bar pushes it into the reader. When the eject bar is clear of the long finger it pivots downwards so that the tab engages the top of the cassette and pushes it into the seated position in the reader.

  • Patent number: 5312345
Abstract: The invention is a new and unique device much needed to protect the health care providers from the leading cause of exposure to blood born diseases in their profession, this being inadvertent needle sticks by contaminated needles. Dirty needle stick accidents are one of the major means in which health care providers are exposed to the HIV virus on the job. The invention is a blunt tubular stylet that is inserted into the commonly used intravenous therapy device. Initially it is positioned inside the needle stylet in a retracted position, by means of the friction catches. This allows the cutting tip of the existing intravenous therapy device's cutting tip to be exposed. Upon successful venipuncture the invention is positioned so its blunt tubular stylet is advanced beyond the intravenous therapy venipuncture device's cutting tip, obscuring it. Upon withdrawal of the intravenous therapy venipuncture device, the sharp cutting tip of its needle stylet is fully protected by the invention's blunt metal stylet.

  • Patent number: 5015073
Abstract: This invention is a new innovative approach to filtered astronomical observation. The card consists of a pocket sized durable card containing the 8 most popular colored acetate filters used by amateur astronomers for planetary and celestial observations. Unlike conventional glass eyepiece filters, which requires that you remove the telescopes eyepiece to screw on a new filter for each color change, the pocket filter card has all 8 popular colors on one card, for immediate easy access without having to manipulate the telescopes eyepiece. There are many advantages to this over the eyepiece system in that it can be used on any size telescope and because the observer can so easily and quickly scan one colored filter to another, the observer can take advantage of enhanced imagery of all the colors observed due to his persistance of image imprinted in his mind.
