  • Patent number: 7885402
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are provided for controlling the power level of voice signal streams. A gain controller embodiment includes a measurement module, a gain factor setting module, and a gain adjustment module. The measurement module includes program instructions to measure a power level of a voice signal stream. The gain factor setting module includes program instructions to set a gain value by comparing the measured power level to a threshold. The gain adjustment module includes program instructions to adjust a power level of a voice signal stream by applying the gain value to the voice signal stream.

  • Patent number: 7552250
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are provided for a media platform. One method includes receiving DMA requests for connecting media data traffic to DMA slots of a DMA memory module. Available DMA slots are determined from a pool of available DMA slots and allocated for media data traffic. DMA slots are released to the pool of available DMA slots when a DMA slot is no longer being used. The method further includes using a TMC proxy to connect media data traffic between the DMA memory module and a DSP software module based on assigned DMA slots.

  • Patent number: 4788717
Abstract: 36 Telephone interface option module circuit for interfacing an electronic device to a telephone network. Most electronic devices, for example, modems, telephone message systems and text-to-speech systems, when coupled to a telephone network must conform to specific telephone interconnect regulations. These regulations generally vary from country to country, and therefore, the electronic device generally has to be modified to conform to a specific countries telephone regulations. The option module circuit contains the country specific telephone regulations, and when plugged into the electronic device, ensures that the electronic device conforms to those regulations.
