  • Patent number: 5866841
Abstract: A fragmentation grenade comprises a quantity of high explosive (11) contained within a casing (12, 13) and means (29) for detonating the high explosive (11) so as to cause the casing (12, 13) to disintegrate into a plurality of high velocity fragments (13). The high explosive (11) and the casing (12, 13) are so configured that the fragments (13) are preferentially projected in one or more particular directions relative to the axis (X--X) of the casing (12, 13), and the grenade is provided with a self-righting mechanism (22), whereby the axis can automatically be placed in a desired orientation.

  • Patent number: 5295597
Abstract: An infant's bottle is provided with a valved cap adapted for quick and easy movement between open and closed positions. The valved cap includes a base member mounted by a threaded neck ring or the like over the mouth of a beverage container such as a baby bottle. The neck ring also retains a slide-fit valve sleeve on the base member for reciprocal motion between open and closed positions to respectively permit and prevent beverage flow from the bottle. • Patent number: 5171087
Abstract: A heated support stand is provided for supporting a stethoscope in a convenient and ready-to-use position. The support stand comprises a night light unit having a low wattage bulb disposed behind a protective shade, wherein the shade has a size and shape to receive and support the chestpiece of a stethoscope in close proximity to the bulb. The bulb radiates sufficient heat to warm the chestpiece to a comforable temperature compatible with a patient's body temperature, thus eliminating patient shock and/or discomfort caused by placement of a cold instrument onto the patient's body.
