  • Patent number: 4615636
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved connector construction for releasably connecting one tubular member to another. A first tubular member has an aperture contained therein. A screw fastener member is mounted in the aperture. The screw fastener has an enlarged portion on the exterior of the tubular member preventing the screw fastener from passing through the aperture into the interior of the tube. The screw fastener member has a second enlarged portion within the tube. The space between the first and second enlarged portions is less than the thickness of the tube to hold the screw fastener member frictionally in the tubular member and to prevent rotation of the screw fastener member relative to the tubular member. A second tubular member has a portion positioned adjacent to the aperture in the first tubular member and the screw fastener member. A second screw fastener member is rotatably mounted in the second tubular member and is held therein.

  • Patent number: 4542938
Abstract: A chair construction having a movable seat and back includes a pair of chair sides. Said chair sides are mirror images of each other. A substantially horizontal seat is positioned between said chair sides, and a substantially vertical back is also positioned between said chair sides. Each of the chair sides is formed of a single piece of continuous elongated flexible tubular plastic material. Each chair side includes a back upright. Each back upright has a horizontal floor rail formed integral with the lower end thereof. Each horizontal floor rail has a front upright formed integral therewith. Each front upright has an arm portion formed integral with the upper end thereof. Each arm portion is fixed to its respective back upright.

  • Patent number: 4512361
Abstract: A hose storage apparatus for storing and transporting a hose on a reel. The reel is rotatably mounted on a frame which is formed of a plastic material. The frame has a molded plastic handle pivotally attached thereto. The handle is positionable in an upright attitude to provide a convenient means for manipulating the apparatus. The handle may be selectively lowered to a lowered position wherein portions of the handle are positioned adjacent to the frame to reduce the height of the apparatus and thereby facilitate storage. A lock releasably secures the handle to the frame in a selected attitude. The reel includes a pair of identical molded plastic reel halves. Each half includes a reel side with a hub. Each hub is rotatably mounted in the frame. A plurality of pylons is formed integral with each of the reel sides. The pylons of each reel side are secured to each other and form a hose support surface. A hose connector is mounted on one reel side.

  • Patent number: 4506698
Abstract: A garden hose storage apparatus is particularly adapted for mounting on a substantially vertical surface and includes a side mount. The side mount has a base adapted for attachment to a substantially vertical surface and a cantilever journal is formed integral with the base. An elongated pipe is fixed in the cantilever journal and extends outwardly from the journal. A hose reel is rotatably mounted on the journal and has its axis of rotation substantially coincidental with the longitudinal axis of the pipe. An out tube is releasably connected to the pipe and has a connector adapted for connecting the out tube to a garden hose. A lock releasably connects the reel to the longitudinal pipe to retain the reel on the journal. Release of the lock allows the reel to be removed from the journal.
