  • Patent number: 11975274
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spray dried plasma composition having one or more of the following characteristics: when reconstituted, largely amorphous and has no cholesterol crystals; when reconstituted, the number of large particulates is reduced; has low residual moisture; reconstitutes rapidly in under four minutes; highly stable when stored under refrigeration, at room temperature or at elevated temperatures and allows for storage for longer periods of time; when reconstituted, exhibits recovery of the most fragile of proteins, including von Willebrand's factor; when reconstituted with Sterile Water for Injection (SWFI), reconstituted plasma is at a pH that is near normal plasma pH, and does so without treatment or storage in CO2 or other pH adjustment; and when reconstituted, has reduced complement activation (C5A, C3A).

  • Patent number: 11963691
Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.

  • Patent number: 6131235
Abstract: A brush carrier assembly of the type generally associated with a vacuum hood as part of a vacuum cleaning system used with a moving web is disclosed. The brush carrier utilizes a fixed portion and a movable portion which are adjustable relative to each other by location of a fastening member which adjusts the tension on a biasing member for separating the fixed and movable portions.

  • Patent number: 4734580
Abstract: In combination with electrical ionizing devices (A.C. static neutralizers or D.C. charging systems) in which discharge electrodes, such as emitter points, are connected to a high voltage power supply and in adjacently spaced disposition behind a grounded foraminous grille, wiper means, such as brushes, for cleaning accumulations of particulate material electrostatically adhered to the electrodes themselves. The brushes are preferrably mounted upon the grille and have bristles passing through slots therein to enable the operator before ionization is instituted to sweep the brushes from an out-of-the-way position relative to the emerging ion flow across the electrodes to effect the cleaning and then clear of said electrodes.

  • Patent number: 4479130
Abstract: The deviation in operating frequency which antenna system elements can handle without serious transmission line mismatch is increased by constructing the antenna such that the inner portions (40, 42) of its legs (40,48 and 42,50) are formed of coaxial transmission line connected so that the outer conductor serves as part of the radiator, and so that the inner and outer conductor of the line cooperate to form compensation stubs whose impedance varies with frequency in a manner to cancel or oppose the reactance which the antenna legs exhibit with frequency change. The stubs are connected in series or in parallel with the antenna feed point and parasitic elements. Surge impedance is selected so that the antenna driven elements (nearly resistive) and signal source, and parasitic elements that incorporate the invention, are mismatched at band end frequencies and center band frequency in apparoximately like amount.
