  • Patent number: 9701133
Abstract: A mount for a light emitting diode print bar removably installable in a printer including an open end having a first curved mounting surface and a closed end oppositely disposed relative to the open end and including an opening, the opening having a second curved mounting surface. A projection of the first curved mounting surface substantially coincides with the second curved mounting surface and the light emitting diode print bar is arranged to pivot about the first and second curved mounting surfaces within the mount.

  • Publication number: 20160246242
Abstract: A printhead for a device capable of printing, including: a frame; a light-emitting diode (LED) assembly including a housing engaged with the frame, a plurality of LEDs one the housing and extending in a first transverse direction, and at least one lens parallel to the plurality of LEDs in the first traverse direction and arranged to focus light from the LEDs; and a displacement assembly connected to the frame and engaged with the LED assembly and arranged to displace the LED assembly, with respect to the frame to a first position for an operating mode for the printhead, in which light from the plurality of LEDs illuminates media passing through the printbar in first or second process directions orthogonal to the first transverse direction and to a second position for a cleaning mode for the printhead, in which a cleaning operation for the at least one lens is enabled.

  • Patent number: 9205670
Abstract: A printhead for a device capable of printing, including: a frame; a light-emitting diode (LED) assembly including a housing engaged with the frame, a plurality of LEDs on the housing and extending in a first transverse direction, and at least one lens parallel to the plurality of LEDs in the first traverse direction and arranged to focus light from the LEDs; and a lens cleaning assembly engaged with the frame and including an arm portion extending across the frame in the first traverse direction and a cleaner portion including a cleaning element. The lens cleaning assembly is displaceable, with respect to the frame, in the first transverse direction to slide the cleaning element across the at least one lens.

  • Patent number: 8892008
Abstract: An approach is provided for reducing an amount of residual toner remaining in a rotating container. The approach involves rotating a rotatable vessel configured to contain a toner. The approach also involves a causing a plurality of beads that include at least one material configured to be attracted to a magnetic strip that extends in a direction parallel to an axial direction of movement of the toner between a first end and a second end of the vessel. The plurality of beads, when attracted to the magnetic strip, cooperate with helical features of the vessel and the internal surface of a body section of the vessel to transport at least a portion of the toner in an axial direction from the first end of the vessel to the second end of the vessel as the vessel is rotated.
