    Abstract: A vehicular light assembly including a dichroic lamp, a socket, a cradle and an optional support to mount the assembly to a vehicle. The dichroic lamp includes a reflector which reflects light emitted by the bulb forward but allows radiant heat to pass rearwardly through the reflector. The dichroic lamp also includes an electrode electrically coupled with a socket which defines at least one of a recess and an aperture, the socket including an electrical connector. The cradle defines a chamber, and the socket and dichroic lamp both are positioned in the chamber. The cradle includes a locating pin that registers with the at least one of a recess and an aperture to selectively locate the dichroic lamp within the cradle. A related installation method includes: joining the light assembly cradle with a vehicle, and aligning the lamp assembly so that it focuses light on a pathway of the vehicle.

    Abstract: An apparatus for protecting a vehicle from a pet scratching and shedding hair includes a first member having each of a first predetermined shape, a first predetermined size, a first predetermined thickness and which is substantially impermeable to such pet's nails. The first member extends over such vehicle's window ledge and downwardly a predetermined distance from such vehicle window ledge which is at least sufficient to prevent such pet's nails contacting such vehicle's paint. There is a second member having each of a second predetermined shape, a second predetermined size and a second predetermined thickness for preventing at least one of such pet's hair and wet and muddy paws from contacting a seat of such vehicle. A securing device is engageable with a first predetermined edge of the first member and a first predetermined edge of the second member for securing such first member to such second member.

    Abstract: A floor tie-down anchor for securing freight during transport is provided. The tie-down anchor is an L-shaped bracket having a pair of legs that form an angle relative to each other, and one of the legs has at least one aperture defined therethrough. A system and method for securing freight to a transport vehicle are also provided. The system includes a first tie-down anchor and a second tie-down anchor attached to the floor of a transport vehicle, and each of the tie-down anchors has at least one aperture defined threrethrough. The system further including a retaining strap having a connecting mechanism attached to each end of the strap, and the apertures of the tie-down anchors are adapted to receive the connecting mechanisms of the strap. The method of securing freight to a transport vehicle includes providing a floor. First and second tie-down anchors are attached to the floor, and each of the tie-down anchors has at least two apertures of different shapes defined therethrough.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a railcar having an enclosing superstructure which is capable of accommodating large vehicles such as semi-trucks is disclosed. The method includes the preparation of a previously used railcar or a railcar originally manufactured for another purpose and the subsequent attachment of a preferably widened superstructure applied thereto. Usable space and dimensions within the superstructure enclosure are maximized by the use of shallow weight bearing side structures, large top chords, stabilizing door headers, an extension of the railcar deck and thin end doors. Related methods of separating liquid from the slurry using the apparatus of the invention are also described.

    Abstract: A collapsible shield for a smoking animal lure product comprises a blank formed of sheet material that is folded flat for transportation and storage and erected at the site of use to form a tubular shield having a closed top that fits over an incense stick or other smoking animal attractant. The blank is formed of a plastic sheet material that is bendable along longitudinal score lines to form a tube. Top flaps are foldable downwardly to close an open top. Tab and slot fasteners hold the shield in its erected configuration. Lower and upper holes in the shield provide an inlet for combustion air and an outlet for smoke. The shield is held in place by nails or spikes that fit through holes in the lower edge of the shield.

The seating unit can be stowed within side trim panels without obscuring windows, or the load carrying area of the vehicle floor, and is particularly suited to multipurpose vehicles or vans. The seating unit includes: an outboard leg coupled to the vehicle side, and an inboard leg engaging with the vehicle floor, a retraction mechanism providing automatic folding of the inboard leg when the seating unit is folded to its stowed position; an extending backrest squab which extends the effective height of the backrest when the seating is in a deployed condition, but retracts when the seating is in the stowage position.
